Should I put my hair up or down? It's too short for it to be completely up." Areum ran around the apartment, looking for her straightener.

"Maybe you should just leave it down." Mark mumbled sleepily. She looked at him from the bed.

"This is the first day of the rest of.... The year. I have to look professional." She said. He nodded, slowly climbing out from the bed.

"I'm gonna go shower. Don't go crazy while I'm in there." He said. She rolled her eyes. Areum looked over at her closet.

"Mark?" She yelled. He groaned.

"For the last time Areum. It doesn't matter which one you wear. You tried both of them on and you looked great. So just wear one today and the other tomorrow!" He yelled back. She sighed. She heard his phone go off from the side of the nightstand. She walked over to it.

Alice:

Mark, I'm scared that I'm losing you. I don't want to lose you again. I don't think I can do it the second time. Please Mark. Tell me that you and I are ok

Areum looked at the message, feeling a little hurt. She felt as if she was interfering with their relationship. She decided to ignore that feeling and go get dressed for the day.

"You look great Areum. Stop fixing your hair." He said, before getting out of the car. She sighed, grabbing her bag. She got out of the car and they both stood in front of the building.

"You ready?" He asked. She looked over at him.

"Not yet" She said. He rolled his eyes.

"Areum for the last time you look good-"

"It's not me who isn't ready, it's you." She said. He furrowed his eyebrows. She brought her hands up to his chest, fixing his tie.

"It looks wonky." She mumbled. Mark admired her scrunched up nose, and how gently she fixed the tie. She smiled in satisfaction as she had finished fixing it.

"Done" She replied, with a small smile. He looked down at her, locking his eyes on her.

"Uh y-you wanna go now?" She asked, avoiding his gaze. He nodded.

"So why don't you redo the charts? The data isn't displayed right on this kind of format" Areum said.

"With all do respect, I've been at this company longer than you and I know which formatting is right and wrong" He said. Areum raised her eyebrow.

"Well, that's an interesting way to speak to your boss. I may look like a college student who is still trying to figure her life out, but let me tell you something about me. I've been familiar with business since I was a kid. I would go to a camp for two weeks, every summer, for ten years about business and entrepreneurial. The first book I learned how to read was 'business for dummies' and my first word was marketing. So when I say that the formatting is wrong, then you take your documents, shred them, and go make a new one. Is that clear?" She said, firmly. The worker sighed before returning to his desk.

Areum sat down in her office chair. She pulled out some documents and started working on them. She barely noticed the footsteps coming her way.

"That was one way to handle snobby coworkers." Mark said, pulling up a chair and dropping his files on the table. She chuckled.
