"Where is he, where is he?" She mumbled. Mark and Areum stood in the airport, about to board first class.
"Jeno already came to say goodbye. But Haechan always comes to say goodbye to me whenever I'm flying." She said. He sighed.
"Do you want to wait a little longer?" He asked. She stared at her phone, waiting for a call or a text message.
"Now boarding all first class passengers."
"Let's just go." She mumbled. Areum sighed walking towards the plane. The seats in first class were secluded. Very few people.
Two sets of two seaters were placed facing each other. Areum sat on one end and Mark sat on the other. She stood up siting next to him. He furrowed his eyebrows. He moved to where she was sitting before. She rolled her eyes, staying put. Areum closed her eyes and started breathing heavily.
"It's not gonna crash, it's not gonna crash, it's not gonna crash... I think," She whispered to herself. Her nails gripped the sides of the seat. Mark looked at her.
"You ok?" He asked. She shook her head.
"I hate flying." She said. He furrowed his eyebrows.
"Is that why you were trying to sit next to me?" He said. She nodded.
"Why do you hate flying?" He asked. She sighed.
"I don't know. But ever since I was little, I would always get paranoid about flying. A-and that's why I insisted on waiting for Haechan. He always knows how to make me forget about it. B-but he is too mad about our fight to show up." She said. He sighed. He got up, moving to sit next to her.
"You know you could have told me. So that we didn't have to travel so far." He said. She shook her head. Areum looked down at the seat to see that her fingers had made dents in the leather seats. She moved her hands and started rubbing them on her legs. Mark grabbed her hand, gripping it hard.
"It's not going to crash, ok?" He said. Her quick pants slowly calmed down.
"You promise?" She asked. He nodded.
"Where are we going anyway?" She asked. Mark was about to speak when he was interrupted by the intercom.
"Attention passengers, this should be a smooth ride. We will arrive at France international Airport in 7 hours."
Areum looked up at Mark, smiling.
"Mark Lee, you did not just buy us tickets to go to France for two and a half weeks!" She said. He smiled. She pulled him into the most weirdest hug, seeing that they were sitting right next to each other.
"I've always wanted to go. Thank you!" She said. He smiled. Areum's smile slowly disappeared.
"You're too nice Mark."
"What do you mean?" He asked. She sighed.
"I know you want to know." She said. He furrowed his eyebrows.
"About?"
"About me and Aiden." She said. He shook his head.
"Areum I told you I don't have to know," He said. She squeezed his hand.
"But I want you to know! I can't move on without telling you." She said. He shook his head.
"But why in the airplane? There is not enough privacy!" He said, looking around. Areum pulled the revolving door that was built in for privacy.
"Now we do." She said. He sighed.
"I don't want it to seem like I forced you into telling me." He said. She shook her head.
