The ride to BunnyBurrow was pretty silent. Nick was looking over the case files, trying to find more clues, Judy was driving, and Jack decided it best to catch a few more hours of sleep.

They were halfway to the small town when Judy spoke," Hows the progress?"

"Still nothing, Carrots," the fox said," Bunnyburrow is the only connection these mammals have. From what I can tell, they didnt even live NEAR eachother. I hope we find some answers, because this case is already starting to give me a headache."

"Like..metaphorically or literally?" Judy asked, concerned.

"Literally," the fox chuckled.

"I have some headache pills in the glovebox," Judy said," Cant have my fox feeling ill while on a case."

Nick smiled at the comment. 'Her fox's. It sounded good. If only....

"So, things with you and Jack have been going well."

"Yeah," Judy said with a warm smile that broke the foxs heart," Nick...I cant believe I'm saying this but..I really am in love with him."

Nick felt a little hurt by the comment, but smiled nonetheless," I'm happy for you, Judy. Really, I am."

Judy smiled," I know Nick," the bunny responded," You always make my happiness a first priority with you. You do everything in your power to make sure I am at my best. That why I love you, dumb fox."

Nick knew it was meant as a friendly gesture, but the way she said it made him heart melt at 1000 degrees, so, the hustler played it smart," What was that?"

"I said that your a good friend, Nick. Your my best friend, and that why I love you."

Nick smiled widely," I love you too, Carrots."

The fox then slid the carrot pen back in his pocket.

"You and Skye have been a pretty cute couple as well."

Nick wanted to tell her how he truly felt about Skye, but he already knew this was not the place or time," Yeah, it's been good."

"She still living with Finnick?"

"Meh," Nick responded," Sometimes she is at my place, sometimes shes at Fins place. Just depends on if she wants to be around."

Judy raised a brow," That doesnt really sound like a healthy relationship."

Nick shrugged the comment off, and the bunny noticed a strange look on Nick's face," What's wrong?"

Nick once again, shrugged off the question," Its..its nothing, Carrots."

"Nick," Judy said," What did we promise eachother when you first became a cop? We promised to always be honest with eachother, no matter what."

Nick looked down," Carrots...can I tell you a secret?"

"Of course," Judy answered.

Nick sighed as he said," I..I dont love Skye. Yeah, she is an amazing mammal who I could find myself being with, but the problem is..I'm in love with someone else."

"Well, Nick, you have to tell her the truth then."

"I just dont want to hurt her. That vixen is crazy about me. If I just dump her, it's going to break her heart."

Judy gave a little sigh," I know you will do the right thing, Nick. You always do. Who is this other mammal you have feelings for?"

Nick looked away," I think it's best if I dont say."

"Do I know her?"

Nick chuckled a little," Yeah, you know her pretty well."

The bunny gave a short thought and said," I'm stumped then, but if you dobt want to tell me, I wont force you too. I'm sure you'll have your chance when the time is right."

Nick smiled. Finally, they saw the sign reading 'Welcome to BunnyBurrow'.

"We should wake Jack now," Nick chuckled.

Judy saw some gears turning in Nick's head," You have an idea on how?"

"Just one," Nick smiled," Blare the horn and scream at the count of three."

"Nick, that is evil," The bunny laughed.

"1....2...3," Nick said. Judy then blared the horn and both mammals screamed, causing Jack to jump up so high he hit the ceiling.

"WHAT HAPPENED?!?! ARE WE DEAD!?!?"

The bunny then saw Judy and Nick laughing," We are here, sleepyhead," Judy informed him with a smile.

"Bloody hell," Jack swore," You scared the piss out of me."

"That was the plan," Nick replied," Now, wake up, we will be at the Hopps house soon."
