Forty- One

Waverly had fallen asleep with her head leaning against her shoulder and Harper did her best not to disturb her in any way. They had been sitting there in the waiting area of the hospital for hours, just to hear what the outcome was with Therese and it was a long wait.

Every once in awhile Ryn would get up to question a nurse on what was happening and they'd always respond with the same line, 'she's still in surgery.
Eventually, even Ryn fell asleep during the long wait and just after so did Harper.

Jumping out from her seat at the feel of someone's hand on her shoulder, Harper groaned at the stiffness in her neck and the way her ass cheeks felt numb.

"Hey, it's okay," Ryn comforted softly, calming her as she realized where she was and what had happened.
Waverly was sitting across from them staring in absolute silence but gave a little smile when her aunt's eyes lingered her way.

"How long have I been out?"

"A few hours,"

"Fuck, it feels like days and I'm so sore."

"I know." Ryn rubbed her arm, giving her a quick kiss on her forehead.

"Is she okay?"

"The doctors said she's going to be fine. We should be able to see her anytime."

"Good because I'm going to kill her,"
Harper addressed and Ryn chuckled at how she'd pouted her lips, quite as similar to a child but she knew how serious she was about it.

"I know you will and I don't blame you. Waverly said the same."
They both regarded the younger girl closely and there were dark circles under her eyes. She looked tired and without any doubt.

"Are you okay?"

"I'm fine, I'm just sorta tired."

"I'm sorry about the wait and everything, but as soon as we've gotten to see her we'll take you home."

"It's not your fault Harper, none of this is and I'd like that a lot, I don't like it here."

"That makes two of us." Chimed Ryn.

"More like three, I'm hungry."
Harper said staring directly at Ryn.

"Okay. I could try to get you both something to eat." She nodded and quickly Harper sprang to her feet.

"I'll go, you can relax. Have a seat."

"Are you sure?"

"Yeah Ryn, I can handle it."

"Alright."

Taking a seat in the chair right next to Harper's, the lanky girl watched as her love interest stretched while cracking a few of her joints.
She laughed at the funny sound that escaped her lips, and so did Waverly.

"Seems like you need a massage."
Ryn recounted and Harper's eyes snapped unto her as she blushed.
The recollection of how that massage had played down surfaced and she smiled. It was the first time they'd kissed and she'd never forget it.

"Maybe, after all this is done. I could use one."

Grinning from ear to ear Harper left the room in search of something they could all eat.
She knew just about ten minutes away from the hospital was a little fast food joint but she didn't think she'd go that far.
They'd all gave to just eat whatever contraption was in here to their disposal.

"Fuck's sake,"

Was the first couple of words Therese greeted them with as her eyes landed on her sister and her new and very much annoying lover/ bounty hunter.
