Sixteen

Parked in a somewhat remote area, eating junk while relaxing were Ryn and Harper. They had decided to waste time staring up at the night sky while bantering about random things instead of calling it quits so early.
They were going fine with the topics, talking about school, their first loves, etc when Harper dropped a question Ryn wasn't expecting.

"When are we going to address what happened the other night?"
Ryn turned to her with a surprised gaze, and if it weren't for the darkness between them, Harper would've surely seen her blush.

"Um, I didn't want to say anything in fear of making things awkward."

"Are things awkward between us?"

"N-not exactly, no," Ryn spoke softly staring out her window into the dark night.

"At some point, we have too, so why not now?" Harper questioned staring down at her hands although she could barely see anything.

"I kissed you because I wanted too, and I hope that's okay."

"It is because as far as we both could see, I was the one to kiss you first," said Ryn.

"Yeah but I pushed it. The reason why I want us to address it is that I feel like I might've come off as maybe too sexual, and pushy."

"No, no it's fine." Said Ryn turning to face the side on which Harper sat.

"It's nothing like that I know, and I promise I hadn't even thought about it. I figured it was just a moment's thing. After all, we were standing really close to one another, and then before that, I was touching you so we both kinda got heated. "

"Yeah, maybe but just so you know I liked it," Harper replied without overthinking her response and she heard Ryn chuckle.

"I did too, but let's not make it a practice or surely something worse might happen?"

"Something worse like what?" Harper queried.

"C'mon Harper, don't give me that. You know exactly what I'm talking about."

"Nah, I want to hear you say it." She answered grinning and she was sure Ryn saw it.

"Here I'm starting to believe that maybe you might just want it to happen, that grin is a little too evil to ignore."

"Oh, is it?"

"Yeah," Ryn stressed and a moment's silence fell among them and then suddenly her phone started Ringing.

"What did you get for me?"

"Everything you wanted. Where are you right now?" Lincoln asked and Ryn leaned forward in her seat.

"I'm still in Felicity, Harper and I are parked in my car. We decided not to turn in early tonight. I might have us drive for a while."

"Oh good, seems like you'll be heading on back to the city if you decided to drive, Therese is back here."

"Fuck me, what is this girl doing?"

"I've told you before, she's leading you around in circles, but don't worry. Her location from the time we picked her up has remained the same.
We had someone dial her up asking for a different person to trace her call and she picked up."

"Okay. I hope she stays there, I'm too tired of driving around."

"Then let the girl with you do it then, sure she must know how to drive."

"She does and I will let her but just keep an eye on Therese's every move, understood? I don't want us losing her again."

"You won't. I promise."
