I woke up with Shane and Jason missing. I could have guessed Shane had gone down to the quarry with him, so I didn't panic. I slipped on my boots and walked out into camp. "Mornin'." said Rick, "mornin'." I replied. He smiled and we walked over to Lori. "Lori have you seen Jason?" I asked, "he's playing with the others at the clearing." she replied. "Thanks, I'll see you guys later." I said walking away to find my husband. Suddenly Shane's truck pulled up, "water's here y'all, reminder to boil before use." Shane said getting out. "Y'know you could have woken me." I said as he wrapped his arms around my waist. "Yeah but I figured you need the sleep after last night." he whispered kissing my neck. "Momma! Daddy!" Jason shouted, "Jason!" I shouted back in a panicked tone. Shane grabbed his shotgun and my wrist and we ran in direction of our son. Lori and Rick were running as well, "Carl! Baby!" she shouted. "Jason!" shouted Shane and suddenly we saw Jason running our way. I caught him in my arms, Shane stopped to check if he was ok. "Go." I said hugging my son, Shane followed Rick and I checked Jason over for bites or scratches.

"Go with Jacqui." I said as I ran after Shane. I got there to see a dead walker and a half devoured deer. "How is he?" asked Shane, "he's fine babe, no bites or scratches." I said and he hugged me. Cody and Ryder had joined the party. A branch snapped and Daryl emerged from the bushes. "Daddy!" shouted Ryder running into Daryl's arms. Daryl threw him on to his hip and kissed the top of his head. Cody walked forward and hugged his brother. "Welcome back little brother." he said, "hey Cody, what'd I miss?" Daryl asked and Cody smiled. It was almost like Cody was trying to ease Daryl into Merle getting left in Atlanta. We all walked back into camp, "Momma! Daddy!" shouted Jason running at me and Shane. I hugged him and Shane picked him up. "Cody, where's Merle?" asked Daryl, "that's the thing little brother, somethin' happened in Atlanta." explained Cody. You could see the rage building up in Daryl's eyes and Cody saw it too. "I'm going back with Dixon to get him." said Cody quickly. "I need to come with you." argued Daryl, "what about your son?" Cody asked. Daryl looked at Ryder and then back at Cody. "I'd watch him." I blurted out without thinking, "ok, then it's settled." said Cody.

After an argument between Rick and Shane, it was decided that Rick, T-Dog, Glenn, Cody, Daryl and Dixon were all going back to Atlanta to get Merle. Shane wasn't happy, he threw Jason on to his hip and marched off in the direction of our tent. I followed him, I saw him teaching Jason how to tie a knot and I smiled. I walked over and kissed his cheek. "Calm down Walsh, no need to get mad." I whispered in his ear. He smirked, stood up and grabbed my waist. "Well next time tell your brother, I'm right." he said leaning in for a kiss. We kissed passionately, Jason covered his eyes and stuck his tongue out. "Momma. Daddy. That's gross." he said and Shane laughed into our kiss. I pulled back and picked up Jason. He rested his head in the crook of my neck. Suddenly Ryder came running, "Mr Walsh, Dale wants to talk to ye." he said. "Ok, thanks Ryder." said Shane waking back into camp. I took Ryder's hand and followed Shane.

"I don't want to alarm anyone but somethin's not right with Jim." said Dale. He pointed up on the hill where Jim was digging tonnes of holes for no reason. We all walked up the hill to where Jim was and Shane made the first approach. "Hey Jim, why you diggin' all these holes?" Shane asked, "nothing." he replied. "Why don't you take a break?" Shane suggested. "Exactly, it's like hundred degrees out today." said Dale. "Take a break, sit in the shade and maybe later on I'll come help you." Shane offered. "Look, I ain't hurtin' no one, so why don't y'all leave me be." Jin said continuing to dig. "Jim come, stop it. We don't wanna hurt you." I said, "what? You gonna set your husband on me. We all seen what he did to Ed Peletier. Y'all seen his face or what's left?" Jin shouted. "You weren't there. Ed was out of control, he was hitting his wife." stated Amy and I nodded. "That's thier marriage, not his." Jim stated, Shane went to grab his shovel but Jim over reacted and tried to hit Shane. I handed Jason over to Lori and took Jim down gently. Shane took over and smiled at me.

After Jim calmed down (after Shane handcuffed him to a tree), I sat with Lori, Carol and the kids. Shane was pouring water on Jim, "I didn't mean to scare your boy, Kat." he said and I turned to face him. "It's fine Jim." I said, Jason turned round and smiled at Jim. "That's ok Jim, I ain't scared no more." he said adjusting his father's cap on his head. "Why don't you three go help clean the fish?" I suggested. "Yeah, come on." said Carl taking his little cousin's hand and following Carol and Sophia back to the main camp. Shane followed and just as me and Lori began walking, Jim called us back. "You keep your boys close." he said. We ran off to find our sons as soon as he said it. I was terrified after he said it, I saw Jason sitting on his dad's lap and he was helping to gut the fish. I strolled over and Shane kissed my cheek. "You ok babe?" he asked and I nodded.

"It's just..."

"Just what?"

"Jim told me something."

"What'd he tell ya?"

"I've to keep my son close..."

Shane looked at me, we stared at each for a moment but it was cut off by a bush rustle...
