SHANE'S POV

I sprinted through the forest, cradling my son in my arms as his blood dripped on to my shirt and hands. I burst into a field and saw a huge house in the distance. "Is that the place?" I shouted back as Rick, Carl and the asshole who shot my son came out. "Yeah, find Hershel. He'll help your boy." he replied and I took off again towards the house. "Move!" I heard Rick shout from behind me, I was focused on getting my son help. As I got closer to the house, I saw someone standing on the porch, it looked like a woman but I couldn't really tell. "Dad!" I heard the person shout as I burst through the gate and ran up to the house. An old man and three woman stood on the porch starring at me as if I was a madman. "You Hershel?" I asked apporaching them slowly, the old man nodded and I nearly broke down. "Was he bit?" asked Hershel, "shot. By your man. Please help me." I pleaded and Hershel let me in. I followed him through to a master bedroom, he tossed the blankets and sheets out the way and I lay my little boy down. "Pillow case." demanded Hershel and I pulled on off and handed it to him. He made a pad out of it, handed it to me and looked at Jason. Rick slipped his top off and I placed the pillow pad over the wound. "What blood type is he?" asked Hershel, "A positive like his mother." I replied feeling a hole being blown in my heart. "Where is his mother?" asked a blonde haired woman holding the hand of the man who shot Jason. "Halfway back to our group on the highway probably. So the forest." I replied, an even bigger hole in my heart being made.

"Lucky she's my twin then. I'm A positive as well." stated Rick placing his hand on my shoulder, "that's fortunate, stick around we'll need you." said Hershel. He examined the wound, "the bullets shattered but the deer slowed it down which might have saved his life. If I can remove all the fragments, I'm counting six." explained Hershel. "There's a shallow one I can remove now." he said and I shuddered but nodded. Hershel began trying to pull it out and Jason woke up. "Daddy!" he sreamed in pain and I clutching his hand. "It's ok bud, just hang on." I said brushing his hair back. "He's gonna need blood." Hershel shouted turning to Rick as the same blonde haired woman began attaching something to Rick's arm. Jason screamed in pain, making me want to cry. "You're killin' him!" Rick yelled, "Rick, do you want him to live?" Hershel shouted back. I felt my own rage building, this was my son lying here in pain and they're arguing over a blood transaction. "Rick, do it now!" I yelled as Jason passed out. I began to panic, I thought he'd died but Hershel smiled. "He's just passed out." he explained and I sighed in relief. After Rick gave his blood to my son, we joined Maggie (Hershel's oldest daughter), Otis (the jackass who shot my son) and his wife, Patricia. "He's stable." I said, "where's your wife again?" Maggie asked leaning forward...

KAT'S POV

I was still concerned about the gunshot we heard, neither Rick or Shane would have wasted one bullet on a walker. They were smart than that. I stopped looking back catching Daryl's attention. "They'll be fine Kit-Kat." he whispered, "I don't know Dar, they wouldn't risk it like that." I replied. We decided to take a break, I sat beside Lori and recieving glares from Andrea. "So, this is the plan?" she asked, "if the plan is to wittle down into smaller and smaller groups." replied Daryl. "Carrying pointy sticks and sharp rocks. I see you still have that gun your husband so graciously gifted to you" she said standing above me. I stood up to meet her gaze, "how about you get off my back. The only reason I have a gun and you don't is because I know how to shoot and I didn't want to blow myself up." I snapped back. "Another thing, Carol I would do anything to fix what happened but you have got to stop blaming my brother, it's there everytime you look at him." I said making Carol look away from me. "None of us have had to do what he has done with the tough calls and decisions." I continued taking a swig of water. "Your husband was quick enough once your son was missing." Andrea commented. Before I snapped her neck, Cody cut in. "Jason didn't run off by himself and out of fear. My dog sensed trouble and protected that boy. So how about you quit being such a bitch and back off." Cody snapped causing Andrea to shut down.

We continued walking, I stayed next to Lori and Carol and we talked about stuff we missed. "How far is it?" I asked and Daryl smiled. "About a mile, as the crow flies." he replied. "As the crow flies my ass." said Andrea but I ignored. Of course, the day wouldn't be complete without a walker attack and who better to get caught up in it than Andrea. "Andrea." Lori exclaimed as we ran in the direction of her screaming. As we go there, a woman on a horse came out of nowhere and smacked the walker with a baseball bat. She swifty turned the horse around, "Katy Walsh? Is any of you a Katy Walsh?" she asked and I stepped forward. "I'm Katy Walsh." I said raising my hand like a grade school student. "There's been an acciddent, Jason's been shot and Shane sent me and please just get on." she said and I rushed forward only to be stopped by the powerful hand of my ex boyfriend. "You can't go with her." he said, I glared at him for moment before sighing. "I need to be there for Jason." I said and he sighed. "Alright fine but I'm coming down as soon as." Daryl replied releasing my arm. I climbed on the back of the horse. The woman told Daryl exactly where to find us and took off. So many thoughts raced through my mind like:

Was my son alive? What about my husband, brother and nephew? What was going on?

We arrived at a farm house where I was greeted by RICK!! I jumped off and wrapped my arms around him. It was sunset now and getting dark. "Where's Shane?!?" I asked panicked. "He left to go get supplies to save Jason." explained Rick. I ran inside and saw my boy, lying like an angel in a king sized bed making him look tiny. I lay beside him, playing with his hair and praying my husband would make it back in time to save my little baby...
