Chapter 3

'Today is a very important day' I thought to myself, "it's Michael-" my words get cut off when my dad busts down my door, I scream "AAAAAAHHHH" As my dad laughs "did I scare you?"

I sigh and nod in defeat, "today is important..can I have some money?" I say with a confused smile.

He sighs "Sure, how much do you need?" He smiles softly. I tell him how much I need and he gives me the money, I get dressed quickly while running out the door, today will be the BEST day ever.

I pull up to Michael's house in my dad's car, honking the horn to get his attention. He runs out of his house and jumps into the car "Heya!!!" He smiled, he was very happy for some reason..but I knew why.

We continue to drive as Michael jams to Bob Marley, I sighed and looked at the scenery. We finally made it to our destination.

Laser Tag

I park the car and we both get out, "close your eyes bro" I say grabbing his hand to guide him. He closed his eyes and giggled. "okay jer-bear" he said in a low...sexy voice. He was obviously mocking someone...I just can't remember who.

I guided Michael inside, I let go of his hand as he opens his eyes and let's out a loud gasp. "LAZER TAG!!" he said with excitement, I look down at him with a smile as he hugs me tightly. He runs to the counter, I join him and pay for the rounds.

We join the game and gear up, we're on the same team obviously, we look at each other as all the teams are told to head out to the arena.

"you ready for anything player 1?" I say with a smile, looking down at him as we go back to back.

"Hell yeah, let's go player 2!"

The game starts.

We run next to eachother while shooting people, Michael got shot by someone so I annihilate them with all I got.

Michael noticed something "Jeremy! You're..!-" he pointed to my vest, I was blinking, that meaning I have to go back to the base. I sigh "c'mon Micha-Mocha-moomoo-bear" I laugh.

Michael looks at me "...what-' I noticed his face getting red. "Nothing"
I blush and look away as we quickly run back to the base, I recharge and we run back into battle, demolishing everyone in our way.

After a while the game finally ends, 'Winning team is....'

'Treebros'

" ... seriously..?" I say looking at Michael as he laughs "I had to", I sigh as he giggles "why did I trust you with the name? Why do I even trust you?" I say half joking.
He laughs even more "I don't know"

I quickly ran home to set up after dropping off Michael at his house, I put the food on the table and set up the basics, my dad was out so he wouldn't be able to ruin the moment like last year..

"Perfect.." I smile as I look at everything, I call Michael to come over. After a couple minutes he arrives, I wait in the kitchen as he walks into the door, the only light was coming from the kitchen.

He walks into the kitchen and I smile "happy birthday bro!" I toss him a gift that ends put hitting him in the face. "GAH-" He stumbles a bit and looks at the gift in his hands.

"Holy fuck sorry man" I walk over and scratch the back of my neck nervously. "Do you like it..? I spent my college savings on it.. well, some of my savings". Michael looks at me and smiles the brightest smile I've ever seen "YOU. GOT. ME. AOTD 3?!?!?" his smile just seems to get wider, I smile and nods as he gives me the biggest hug I've ever seen him give. I hug back and smile as blush spreads across my acne covered face.

"Happy birthday Michael"

"Thank you!" He smiled and noticed the cake, he ran over and after a minute blew out the candles. "What'd ya wish for?" He looks at me with a mock-serious face, " if I tell you it won't come true" he stuck his tongue out at me playfully.

I laugh "okay okay." I cut the cake and we both take a piece whilst we head upstairs turning on my PS4.

We play for a while until Michael has to leave. He left and I sigh, hoping for some sign that he likes me, anything would be fine, but...

"I just wish he wished for.."
