Roger's POV
"Alright! Alright! Stop screaming!" I shouted as I heard the cats crying to come in and went to open the door when I realised they were both sat on the kitchen windowsill and were trying to jump through the window. "No! Get down-ugh!" I groaned and went outside, pulling them both off of the ledge and taking them inside, "You two are worse than the kids, I swear"

I put them down in the living room then went back to the spaghetti I was making. It was going to absolute shit but I was determined to make it good for the kids, they'd had take-away or shitty dinners for the whole time Brian had been away and I wanted to try and make it nice for them at least once before he came home.

The pasta was basically falling apart and I'd already ruined two pans by burning the sauce to the bottoms of them. It was going much better than before, by now I would have given up.

I plated it all up and tried my best with the presentation but it still looked a little sloppy, "oh well... I hope it tastes good" I sighed then called the kids down. Each of them chose a plate and took it in to sit at the table so I got one for myself and followed them, sitting in my place. I twirled a little around my fork and got a bit of the sauce, putting it in my mouth and...

Spitting it right back out.

"Ugh, fuck! Don't eat that-Em! Spit it out!" I shouted and got up, getting all of the plates off the kids before they could eat any. I dumped it all in the bin and ended up just doing jacket potatoes in the microwave, I couldn't go wrong with a microwave. I plated each one up and took them all in, putting a plate in front of each of them, then a voice spoke up, "none for me, Rog?"

"Yeah, hang on, love. I-I'm having a bit of a disaster here" I said and went back out to the kitchen to get two more potatoes cooked for us. I put a bit of cheese on both of them then took them in, putting them in my place and Brian's place who immediately tucked in. I was desperate to get rid of the taste of the pasta, I stuffed my face with the potato and it was only when I looked up that I realised who I was sitting across from.

"Brian?"

He was just smiling at me, "alright love?" He asked and I nodded, going to take another forkful, but I paused and looked back at him, "wait... wait, wait. How the hell did you get here?" I asked and he looked around. "Well, I think I flew here. Maybe I teleported, I dunno" he said and I got up and went around the table, hugging him around his neck and getting as close as I could.

"Let me get up, baby" he said and put his hand in my hair as he got up then pulled my head into his chest. I held onto his shirt as tight as I could and closed my eyes, letting him wrap himself around me, "I missed you so much" I squeaked as I felt his lips on my head. "I missed you too" he kissed my head then nudged me until I looked up at him and he connected our lips together.

It was a short kiss but it felt like magic to me, all of his kisses felt like magic to me. When he pulled away, I just looked up at him and I almost forgot about the kids until I heard Em cooing, "you guys are cute... but can we get a bit of time with Dad?" She asked and both of us giggled before we let go of each other and Brian started chatting and hugging with all of them as I scoffed the rest of my food so I could have more time with him.

- a few hours later -

The kids were all pretty settled from the excitement of their Dad being home so I decided to run a bath for Brian to help him relax before he went to get a bit of sleep. I'd gotten some relaxing bubbles so I put them in then helped him to get in, he seemed pretty tired already.

He led there for a little while until he started to fall asleep, "alright, out you come" I said and he jumped a little then looked up at me, "n...no, I'm fine" he slurred and his eyes closed again, "no you're not, love, you need to get out now" I said firmly and when that didn't work, I resorted to dragging him out of the bath myself.
