Smut warning :D

Brian's POV
"Love, what the hell is wrong with you today? You've been so grumpy today" I put my hand on Roger's shoulder and he shrugged, "I dunno. There's just something that's not right about this" he said quietly but Ben obviously heard and leaned around me. "Is there something you want changed, Roger?" he asked and Roger was a little flustered, "I... I don't know, it just feels that there's something missing"

"Like what? Is it the music or the moves or-?" Ben asked and Roger took a second to think, "I really don't know. Maybe its because there's no costumes yet, it doesn't feel right" he said and Ben nodded then handed over the designs for the costumes. "I don't think you've had a look at those yet" he said so both of us flipped through them and they looked really good, I thought they fitted the different characters perfectly.

Roger didn't look too pleased, though.

He was extremely closed-minded when it came to this whole thing but he went along with it because he wasn't a fan of musicals at all. Every single step of the way, there has been something wrong or things that needed to be changed, I mean, he didn't want any dancing in it at all at the start. I'd managed to bring him around to the idea but that meant he dug his heels in on other things.

It was definitely frustrating but I knew he was trying to do his best to protect our own legacy, his mindset was that if this goes to shit, it could ruin us and Freddie and John along with it. That was the last thing we wanted to do, drag them through the mud. And I think that was why Roger was so against it because it was so different.

Ben had been great with him, though, and had taken on all of our ideas and tried to put them in as best as he could. He was so open to our criticisms and even took our praise and worked to change parts so we would like them and feel that we had something that represented us well.

The cast took a short break from their rehearsal and Roger started getting his coat on, "where are you going?" I asked and he looked at me, raising his eyebrows to ask me to say it again, and said when I repeated, "I'm off home, I think this is great but Deb will be struggling with the kids" he gave me a false smile then just left without letting me ask any more.

I just left him and hoped he would call me when he got home but that call didn't come. I waited for hours and hours, right until the end of the rehearsal when I finally decided to call the house. It rang and rang until someone picked up, "hello?"

Tigs had got the phone again.

"Hello, sweet pea, is Papa at home with you?" I asked and heard a little noise.

"Mmm... no. Is Papa with us?" she asked someone else then whined and there was a bit of a scuffle, she didn't like giving the phone up.

"Brian? That you?" Debbie asked and I hummed, "is everything alright?"

"I don't know where Roger's gone. He's not there, is he?"

"No... unless he's in the driveway, just let me check for you" she said quickly then I heard her moving around the house, pulling the curtains, "no. His car isn't here, either"

"Fuck. Alright, well, if he comes back please give me a call. He left like two hours ago and if he's not home then he's gone off somewhere" I explained and heard a hum.

"Okay, I'll keep an eye out for him"

"Thanks" I ended the call and put my phone back in my pocket then realised. If Roger had taken the car, I had no way of getting back home. Or anywhere, for that matter.

I would have asked Ben to take me home but the house was almost an hour away and I didn't want him to waste his fuel so I called up a taxi to take me home. It took a little while but I didn't mind, the ride was pretty quick and made up for the wait. When I got back to the house, I went straight to the home phone and called Roger's mobile but it cut off, "god's sake... he stopped the thing" I grumbled and went through the house to the back garden.
