"Why didn't you tell us that you are dating Mark?" Chaeyoung exclaimed. Dahyun looked up to her two friends. Mina -- with her arms crossed on her chest -- exhaled an amount of air.

"Lucky to be you. I envy." She said. Then, the two walked to their seats. Dahyun sighed.

'Why do they like making assumptions? They don't even want to ask about the real thing.' Dahyun scoffed as she thought.

-----

It was recess time but Dahyun didn't have the appetite. So instead, she sat in the empty class alone while playing a game on her phone.

She silently wished she could tell everyone about how she really felt. So that they will know the truth without making speculation.

But did she really hate it? She knew very well that she kind of has a feeling for Mark but she was afraid. Afraid of...

Rejection.

After the thing that happens between her and Youngjae, she closes down her heart. She didn't look as cheerful as she was before. She talks less and expresses less.

-----

Mark looked here and there around the cafeteria. Searching for the sign of Dahyun's existence. But he didn't see any glimpse of Dahyun. Failed in finding Dahyun he sadly gave up.

"Hey, what are you searching for?" Jinyoung asked though he already knew the answer.

"Nothing," Mark replied with just one word.

"Really? I thought you were searching for Dahyun." He teased Mark.

"If you know then why do you ask?" Mark replied as he dug in his food.

Jinyoung sighed. "You care about her?" Jinyoung asked.

"Maybe I do. Maybe I just used to have her around. It feels different without her." Mark said. Jinyoung nodded.

"In summary, you care for her," Jinyoung said and Mark just looked at his friend eating his food.

"Is it?" Mark asked himself unintentionally too loud that Jinyoung heard him.

"If you like her just say you like her. Why do you have to deny it?" Jinyoung asked a little annoyed. Mark confused. Is Jinyoung being supportive or protective?

Jinyoung has always been there every time Mark's heart got broken. He knows all about Mark's previous relationship.

"It's nice to be you. You can fall in love so easily," Jinyoung said.

"You are luckier. Every girl in this school is swooning over you." Mark replied and they laughed because they both know it was true.

The school session has ended and it was time for self-study but Dahyun decided to go back home. At the same time, Mark wanted to go home too.

On his way out of the school, he saw Dahyun walking to the gate. He ran quickly to catch up with Dahyun.

"Hey, Dahyun." He greeted and Dahyun was shocked to see Mark beside her.

"Hey..." Dahyun greeted back sounding a little awkward. Mark realized that but he pretended to not notice.

"Where were you during lunch? I didn't see you in the cafeteria." Mark said.

"Oh... I don't feel like eating so I sat in the empty classroom." She replied.

Mark nodded. "It's officially become your hideout, right?" He said with a small cute chuckle. Dahyun looked at him. She felt happy seeing Mark walking next to her and smiling so cutely like that.

"You have a cute smile," Mark said. Dahyun was shocked that Mark realized she was smiling. She turned red as she felt so embarrassed by that compliment.

Once again in her life,

She wanted to open up her heart again but at the same time wanted it to remain closed down.
