I awoke first yet again and debated on waking Jisu up. I put my hand on her cheek, "Good morning, Jisu." I said, poking her nose.
Jisu stretched out and I pulled my hand back but she turned to her side and continied to sleep soundly.
"Jisu, come on. You gotta wake up, sweetie..." I said. Actually, she didn't have to wake up, I just didn't want to hear a loud noise and believe the place was haunted without thinking it was Jisu first.

I sighed and got off the bed and changed into some blue jeans and a long-sleeve shirt, went to the bathroom and brushed my teeth and hair, finally, I went into the kitchen and grabbed the pancake mix.

I put some mix in a pan and checked for syrup, sure enough, we had some. I flipped the pancake over and it started sizzling. I felt my stomach grumble and thought of how I hadn't cooked any REAL food in a while and had just eaten dried or canned food without much work. Soon enough, 6 pancakes were made so 3 for both of us. I checked the time and it was 8:30 when I went back to the bedroom.
I sat in the side of the bed and rested on Jisu, "Hey...it's time to get up. Jisu..."

Jisu squirmed around in a dream and slowly opened her eyes and stretched as I rose her up and put my head on her shoulder and kissed it, "You sleep well?"

Jisu nodded and stretched again, "What time is it?"

"8:31."

"We gotta go to Mari!" Jisu began to panic.

"She came to me at 6 like she said and told me that she let them rest for a few days, speaking how tomorrow's Christmas and everything." I replied, "I fixed some pancakes, do you want any?"

"Sure!" Jisu replied.

Jisu quickly changed into warmer clothes and sat down as I passed her the serving I made for her. She ate it quickly and left me uneasy as I finished up my plate. "You wanna go anywhere?" Jisu asked.

"I don't have anything planned for today and I can't think of anywhere to go, you have any suggestions?" I replied.

Jisu got up and washed her dish along with mine, "No. I guess we have to spend today in boredom."

I got up and rested my arm on her head, "Well, we could always just go for a walk."

Jisu removed my hand, "If you put your hand on my head like that again, I will punch you." I backed away and put my hands up in surrender.

Jisu turned around after drying her hands, "That was your only warning and you don't get any more."

"You're acting like a child..." I replied.

"I'm not a child!" Jisu snapped.

"Well, to me, you are." I stuck my tongue out at her.

"Jerk." Jisu said before she opened the door, "Come on." I sighed and followed after her. The hallway was an easy change in temperature because of the heaters not being present but the outside was much colder as I breathed, smoke came out.

"Chilly, huh?" Jisu asked.

"What do you think?" I replied shivering, "Can we go back inside?"

"Aw..I wanted to walk around a while, you can go back inside if you want." Jisu said.

I noticed a few glances of people who were also outside and decided to go with Jisu, "Yeah...I don't trust some of these people, you never know what these people will do..."

"I-I guess so..."

Me and Jisu began to leave the refuge when a guard stopped us, "Sorry sir, but I can't let you go out, the weather is critical, anything could happen so please contain yourselves in here, I am sorry for the inconvenience."

I scoffed and turned around, I wasn't in the mood to deal with anything that could easily be stopped and pulled Jisu along with me. Jisu quickly joined me as to not be stuck with a guard just staring at her.
"Well. That's ruined, can we go inside now? I'm freezing."

"In a few minutes, ok?" Jisu replied.

"Sure..."

I saw Zack to the side trying to warm his hands and I smiled at how he was failing. Diana was in the armory with our blacksmith and was in the middle of making a new weapon, I noticed there were no guns in sight and how everyone relied on melee. Of course, guns were loud.

I tried to focus on walking and slipped on ice before falling onto my stomach. Jisu looked at me for a second before laughing to death as she struggled to help me up in her state. I slipped again before catching my balance and began walking back to the house, dusting myself off.

"Are...you...alright?" Jisu managed to gasp.

"Peachy..."

"Oh come on! It was funny!" Jisu exclaimed as I walked through the door.

"I hurt." I said pulling off my coat and hanging it up before plopping onto the couch and sighing.

Jisu sat down next to me and put my head on her lap before gently stroking my hair, "Just imagine what tomorrow's going to bring...Christmas might set everyone into a better mood than what it's been."

I glanced at the clock and it read 8:56AM with it's second hand ticking away. I felt myself start to drift off but picked myself up, "Come on..let's...go rest."

Jisu joined me and I lay down in the bed and stretched before Jisu lay down and put my head on her stomach.

9:40PM

I woke with a start and rubbed my head feeling like the nightmare would end and looked at the clock. The door opened and Jisu walked in.
"I slept for 13 hours?!"

"Yeah. I went ahead and delivered the gifts to the parents for tomorrow because I wanted to let you sleep, plus I tried to find the gifts for me but...no luck." Jisu sighed.

I couldn't help but love her more and more, she brought the light to me and helped me in dark times, even taking over jobs I could've done, just to let me rest. I felt a tear hit my skin and I wiped my eyes, realizing I was crying. Jisu didn't bother turning the light on and came to see what happened to me before I pulled her onto the bed next to me and buried my face in her shoulder.
"Are you ok?" She asked.

I kissed her, "Yes...I'm fine. I'm perfect knowing you're with me."

I could tell Jisu was embarrassed even in the darkness before I smiled and hugged her, "I love you so much..."
