"We're going to sleep, that's it." Tyr said.
"F-fine..." Jisu pouted. She laid down but tried to stay out of his grasp, failing.
"We'll see the group tomorrow." Tyr said, "We can do what we want in the morning before seeing them."
"...ok." Jisu replied.
---
It was two when they woke up. It was banging on the door. Tyr came to his senses before Jisu and threw his clothing on. Jisu sat up and yawned.
"Get your stuff. Now." Tyr demanded, grabbing his katana.
He opened the door and a zombie burst him, tackling Tyr. He kicked him over his head and slashed it immediately getting up, turning around to stab another incoming zombie. Tons more zombies poured in and so little room gave so little chance to strike. He slashed at zombies surrounding him and was eventually pushed against the wall. The savages thrust their jaws at him and he dropped his weapon. "Ha. You amuse me." He said as if they could understand. He slammed his fists into multiple zombies and others lunged at him. He dodged a bite and punched the zombie before running into a room where Jisu was and slamming the door.
"We're gonna have to jump a story." Tyr grunted.
"W-what?" Jisu replied.
"We're on the second floor so calm down. Go. These zombies will keep coming, get the group and leave. I'll catch up." Tyr snapped.
Jisu stood for a moment before opening the bedroom window and dropping down.
That left Tyr to leave the room. He held his katana, needing the second one that was left at the field where he broke his ribs. They began to hurt.
He held the door shut for a few more seconds before the building felt like it was shaking.
A giant piece of debris from above fell but Tyr avoided it at the last second.
"The hell? Was a bomb planted? Liz...Lilly...Jisu...Mari..." Tyr thought. The door busted open and Tyr was pushed back until he fell out the window. He hit the ground hard and it took him a minute to get the air back into his lungs that was forced out. Meanwhile Tyr found out that Jisu had come back for Tyr when she heard the building explode in a part of it and was now killing zombies that fell out of the window.
"Are you alright?" Jisu asked when she was done, bits of blood on her jeans.
"Sort...of...think my ribs need to heal again...but I can still walk..." Tyr grunted, slowly rising.
"A-alright. What do you want me to do?" Jisu asked.
"Take out any zombies that arrive. They've bound to have heard that but if you get overwhelmed then...head to the Government bunker." Tyr pat her head, "I'm going to find the group."
"Be careful." Jisu said.
"I probably won't." Tyr smiled.
"Please do..." She murmured as he ran toward the main entrance. Another explosion went off on the opposite side of the building and covered the way Tyr was headed, it took almost 10 minutes to circle to the front. "Fuck." He ran toward the underground parking garage knowing there would be an entrance down there, leading up to the first floor.
He managed to make it, panting but busted through the door to find it oddly quiet speaking how the place was being bombed. The elevator didn't work and he guessed the electricity was being cut slowly.
He rushed toward the stairs and listened to any noise coming from them before opening the door. It was dead silent. Confusion took over as the zombies that were on the second floor made almost no noise except the banging on the door and slight groaning as they were kept at bay.
The lights flickered for a moment before giving out drowning Tyr in complete darkness, it was darker than the outside even with clouds. Tyr reached for his backpack and remembered that it was with the group. He cursed under his breath and went up the stairs slowly, barley able to see.
He made it up a floor when another explosion went off making him fall. He looked around to find damage near him but only saw dust fall inches from his face. He ruffled his hair to get anymore dust that fell and continued up before encountering a zombie that was standing in front of the door. He carefully reached for it and put it in a choke hold when it released a blood curling scream that was only ended when Tyr threw it over the stair railing. He rubbed his ears and gritted his teeth as the ringing continued for a few moments. He entered the hallway quickly and quietly hoping the scream didn't attract zombies to the area and made it to the base. He slid a keycard through a slot and it beeped before he opened it. Mari almost killed him with a stab of a knife but Tyr avoided it, "Calm down. It's me, we need to leave." Tyr hissed.
Mari looked at the others. Liz looked scared but not terrified. A zombie busted through the glass of the door followed by more zombies and lumbered toward the group. Tyr killed a few before he realized a horde was called in.
"Get everyone out! I'll take care of them." Tyr gritted. Mari nodded and Diana along with Liz ran out first, The zombies were focused on Tyr and he felt fine with that. Soon, bodies were piling up on the ground, blood pooling around them. He shook the blood off the blade and heard another explosion before part of the ceiling came down. He narrowly dodged it as the whole thing came down. It blocked the door and the only protection Tyr had was his backpack he managed to pick up and it didn't do much. The cure surprisingly, was still there. He let his backpack slide back down after the dust cleared and went saw a horde slowly climbing on each other, a few getting up to him from the first floor. He had no choice but to go up and then down.
He climbed what was left of the ceiling carefully and made it up before taking a few breaths before he would have to run again. His jeans and shirt were covered in dirt and dust, few rips in them. He had mud on his back from earlier.
"I'll get out...don't you worry guys." Tyr said to himself.
