Narrator's POV
Hours later

The hooded figure thrust an elbow into the enemy's gut, causing him to fall to his knees in pain. The person then used their foot to kick the man to the side, knocking another fighter out, marking her as the champion and the strongest fighter and would get rewards for every person defeated. But if someone beat him, they would get a reward that was slightly better than what he would get.
The figure looked at the knocked out bodies being carried out of the room by doctors. The person then took a sharp look at the crowd, blue irises scanning the people behind the glass to see if any were worthy enough when two people around the figure's age walked up and were given an explanation by what it looked like, from the apparent owner. They agreed and shook hands with him before he left. They faced the glass and the person looked away, focusing on the next person who just entered, the door hissing open, then closed like a snake. The person unleashed a skill that made the man fly back a few feet and slide back a couple more inches when he fell. He stood up and placed a hand over his gut before running at the person again, dodging the attack but fatally falling for the next as the man was slammed down over the person's head. The body didn't move except for the stomach moving up and down whenever they breathed. They were carried out and the person stood still, waiting for the next victim, not a scratch on them that could be seen.
He was told that every attack he used was a "skill" in battle and he would hear occasional whispers or rumours going around that he was just showing off. The truth was that that was how he fought. He wouldn't talk to anybody and no one knew what they sounded like, nor looked like because of the cloak draped over them covering each and every feature of their body and face, other than the eyes that would stare into the soul.
The door hissed open again and the person moved slightly, only moving the front of the hood down more, covering more of their already unseen face. He took his shoes off and cracked his knuckles before stepping onto the pad. The figure in an instant, moved once a single step was taken by him and uppercutted him into air following that was a punch that slammed him into the ground.
Within seconds and not even touching the hooded person, a man was knocked out by a couple of hits.
"All the challengers have been defeated. If you would like to fight, say so now and step inside the training room." A woman's voice said over the speakers.
No one said anything for a few moments and the only movements the figure made was about straightening his hood out. "I'll try." Someone said.
Everyone looked at Tyr, the person who just answered. He felt a stare out of the ordinary and saw that the hooded person was looking at him also, blue eyes piercing him. "If no one else is gonna try, I might as well give it a shot." He said taking a step.
"I can hold your weapons!" Jisu exclaimed.
"You sure you don't want to just set them down?"
"Yeah! Let me hold them!" Jisu said.
Tyr handed her the weapons and she pecked him on the cheek before he smiled and ruffled her hair before walking into the room. He slid his shoes off and stepped onto the pad. He took a single step forward and then no one moved. It stayed like that for nearly over a minute before Tyr moved and landed an unsuspecting punch in the person's gut and swung them to the opposite side, tearing the cloak a bit.
The person regained balance and launched an attack, landing a hard blow in Tyr's chest with a kick. He slid across the ground before standing again and rubbed where he got hit before being at full strength again.
Tyr dashed at the person and hit them in the shoulder and kicked them in the side with unreal agility and power. For a second the person looked like he was hurt and was actually going to have a challenge but that quickly changed as a punch was landed in the side of Tyr's face and he was launched toward the glass. He landed on his back hard, inches from the window and saw Jisu with a worried look painted on her face. Tyr instantly felt strong yet again and got up, getting a couple of cheers from people and Jisu. He stood still before he was running again and sweeped the person off their feet and delivering a punch that should've broken a bone. The hooded figure coughed before standing up again, strength running out.

"Well, it's been a good fight but I figure that I should wrap this up..." Tyr cooly said.
He ran at the person again and grabbed their cloak and swung them around ripping the cloak more but at a slow pace. The person detached the cloak from their neck and tumbled across the pad as Tyr held the ripped cloak for a second longer and tossed it aside.
Tyr's eyes widened and so did everyone else who watching as the person stood. The supposed "man" was actually a female with brown hair that went past her shoulders slightly with blue eyes that were like a clear lake. She didn't hesitate to keep fighting so she attacked with speed that matched Tyr's. They fought for what seemed like forever before Tyr got launched back but landed in a back handspring. He wiped sweat off of his brow and took a deep breath. The girl ran at him and punched him in the gut, hard. He fell to his knees and watched. She threw a kick at him but got it blocked by him before he stood and spun her around in the air and she hit the ground. He took a few small breaths before smiling as the girl said the words, "I...surrender."
He took a step back and offered a hand to help her up but she stood on her own.
A woman came inside who looked to be around her mid-30s and stood between us. "Introducing the new champion, Tyr!" She exclaimed. Claps and cheering erupted and she spoke again, "Please give the champion your weapons as the reward."
"W-what!?" She said, taking a step back.
"Give him the weapons."
The girl hesitated before walking over to the corner that a Katana was at. Tyr didn't even notice it at the time of coming in but didn't think anything of it.
"T-take good care of it..." She said before giving it to me and quickly putting her shoes on, grabbing her cloak and running out and away toward the rooms, her hand over her eyes.
Tyr looked at the Katana before accepting it from the woman, with hesitation.
Tyr walked out after putting his shoes on and Jisu jumped into him, barley able to catch her, not caring about who was looking. He held her as she kissed him and hugged him after she stood up again. "You got another Katana! Are you gonna keep it?" Jisu asked.
Tyr didn't answer and grabbed his weapons, motioning for Jisu to follow, "Go home...I'll be home in a few minutes."
"But..."
"Just...go."

Tyr got out of the shower and left, kissing Jisu bye. He picked up the Katana he won in the fight, from the Armory, it being done from an upgrade and bought a new cloak. David walked by when he was walking back toward the rooms. "Congratulations on winning, I see you upgraded your weapon." David said.
"Thanks...can you tell me where that person I beat earlier lives please, I wanna talk to her." He asked.
David told him where she lived and he thanked him before heading in that direction.
He hesitated before knocking on the door and almost didn't get an answer until it came, "Hello...?"
"Um...hi. This is Tyr, the one who...beat you. I just wanted to come by and give you something...may I come in?"
He didn't get an answer for a while until the door opened slowly. She sat down on a couch and he walked in, "Wow. This place is better than what I have..."
"Everyone gets a different room style." She replied.
He sat down across from her and she stood, "Well, I might as well give you a drink. Anything you want in particular?"
"N-no. Thank you." He replied.
She sat back down and it went silent.
"I-I'm Lilly." She said after a while.
"Well...nice to meet you."
Tyr walked over and sat next to her and she didn't show any sign of wanting to move away. He handed her the Katana and the new cloak.
"T-these...are for me?" Lilly asked.
"Yeah. I saw that you started crying and thought that you might want it back...it could be special to you." He replied, looking away slightly.
"Thank you..."
Another few minutes of silence passed before she spoke. "Have...you ever lost anyone really important to you?"
"Yeah. I have...it's horrible. What about you?" He asked.

Tears started forming at the corners of her eyes and he backed up an inch or so, "I-I'm sorry!"
"It's...o-ok. You You didn't do anything...Um...can I tell you why I got here...or how?" She asked.
"Yeah...if you want, I have time." Tyr replied.
"Um...I had a boyfriend who got infected and wanted me to kill him once he turned...I couldn't, I was weak so I locked him in a room I hoped no one would find him...he was the only one I had left and loved me. He gave me the Katana as a memento and something to protect myself with. I trained and fought so I wouldn't be weak anymore and ended up here after a year. I've been searching for a cure ever since." Lilly explained.
Before Tyr and Lilly had even known it, Tyr had wrapped Lilly up in a hug.
"Wh-what are you doing!?" She tried to break away.
"I almost lost a lot of people and thought I lost my love and my family...part of them at least. I did everything to protect them and didn't care if I got hurt or not. I understand how you feel. But...we have a cure. It works." Tyr let go of her and moved back.
"Y-you do?"
"Yeah. We're trying to find a place for it to launch. I think it'll turn from a liquid into a gas once high enough...I'm not completely sure how it works." Tyr explained, getting up and walking to the door, "I have a month here...a bit under one really and have other group members somewhere out there waiting for us...you can join us if you want, how's that sound?"

"A-Alright! Come get me in a month and I'll come with you!" Lilly replied as Tyr left.
