I kept in front of the group, wishing I had a Katana again and avoided any zombies we could and let them lumber by. Jisu would occasionally try to start conversation with me but it would always end with us not having anything to talk about and would just get awkward until she went to go give Liz company.
I yawned and kept trucking on until we took a break, that's when hell broke loose. Someone managed to hit me and the rest with some sort of gas and we felt weak. Everyone except me was still able to resist and I grabbed Jisu's unconscious body.
"Impressive. You resisted?" A person said. They hit me in the face hard and I remembered the world going dark.

---

I woke up and my head was pounding. I couldn't use my hands, but felt them tied up with rope. I sat up a bit too quickly and felt the urge to hurl. I pushed it down and slowly, carefully looked around. The room was almost pitch black except for a dim light in the corner of the room and it felt like a freezer in the room. I couldn't see, but noticed that I had been stripped down to a Tshirt and jeans and parts of my arms were touching metal. "Hello..." I said, it sounded more like an actual greeting than a question. I got no reply except for the ringing sensation in your ears when it's quiet. I felt something slump against me and I jumped. The smell instantly brought me to speed, "Ji...su..." I rasped. My throat was quickly getting dry and needed water. She turned into a different position, moving off of me and I tried to get up, only to fall when it happened. I moved my feet and my ankles were rubbing together. My ankles were tied together as well. Great.
I waited next to Jisu for what felt like hours until a door opened. The light that came from it was blinding and it took a second to get used to it.
"I apologize about the delay...and the...sleeping quarters. You'll get better ones when we get done with this talk. I'll ask the questions and signal for when you can answer so we can get this over with quickly. Got it?" A person asked. Their voice was gravelly and sounded like they were losing their voice as well. The person cut the light on in the room completely and cut the ropes on us, "We had to put these on for protection reasons. Wake your...wife up and we'll begin." The man left the room and came back with two chairs before going back out again and grabbing a third.

Jisu woke up with a groan and wasn't happy with being woken up randomly. "Hey...it's time...to wake up. I'll explain why we're here in a while..." I said. Jisu rubbed her eyes and I helped her up and she sat down in the chair.

"You've been brought here Tyr because of your infection. We need to know how you were able to survive to now. We also brought Jisu with you so you don't break your promise you made to her. Any questions so far?" The man asked before signaling for me to answer.

"How do you know our names and what we said to each other!? Let us out!" I slammed my fist against the table.
After a minute of silence, he spoke again, "I guess you're done talking. You'll be here for around a month and then be sent on your way, but you won't be able to talk about this to any of your comrades. We'll send an anonymous messenger to tell them this."

"Let us go back...at least for a bit longer."

"I'm sorry, but no can do, you have to stay here."

I looked at the man dead in his eyes and felt my vision blur. Jisu wiped my eyes and grabbed my arm. I must've been crying.
"You'll be given rooms to stay in that are top quality and you'll stay the month promised, you both will have multiple days to have personal time and we'll have results back after we take your blood and you'll be told around the time you get to leave." The man said standing up. "Wait here for around 10 more minutes and I'll have a guard down to come get you for the blood test, afterwards, you'll be brought back to your rooms. Don't get too crazy that she gets pregnant though, we can't guarantee that she'll live through the child's birth if so." He finished.

Jisu's face was red when I looked at her but she got up and followed me anyway.

---

The blood test only lasted a minute or so before we found ourselves being escorted to our room. The room was breathtaking.
Everything we saw had to be a 5 star quality type and looked expensive. "Feel free to do what you want. Oh, and don't think we can't afford this, we obviously have it for reasons like this." The man said before leaving.
Jisu went to the bed and laid down, it was very comfortable and it felt like when you first touched it, you could fall asleep. I wrapped my arms around Jisu and noticed she wasn't happy at all.
"Hey...I know you want to go to the group...but we can't, let's just spend our time here and we'll be over with it before you know it. Come on, where's the smile I know and love?" I said.

Jisu resisted while I nipped at her ear and eventually gave up and smiled. "There we go..." I teased.
"I miss the group already..." Jisu replied, burying her face in my chest.
"I do too, but we can't leave. At least you're here with me and I'm not alone like I was when I was trying to find a cure myself." I kissed her forehead and tried not to relive the bad times, but everything right now was bad.
Jisu kissed me on the lips without any warning and wrapped her arms around me afterwards, pulling me into a hug. I hugged back and she pulled back a few seconds later before burying her face in my shoulder.
I began to nip at her ear again and put my hands under her shirt and kissed her cheek. "Will a month really go by as fast as you think?"
"I hope so...I don't like seeing you sad." I replied.
"I don't like seeing you sad either." Jisu said.
"Then don't be sad."
