Chapter 14: Back From the Grave

"What? This surprise you?" He asked.

"How are you alive, Blade?" I replied, pushing Liz behind me.

"I did die, I just came back. I awoke what felt like weeks later. My armor was gone leaving me in regular clothing and I smelled and was hungry. I could barley keep my balance and ended up throwing up. When I finally managed to get it, I explored the warehouse. It was like a ghost town in it. Once I got to the top, I smelled something worse. I saw Morgan dead. Whatever was left of his decaying body had flies around him. Dried blood was everywhere. I thought I was powerless, but I could feel things better. The air was good on my lungs. I believed the infection was out of me except...I coughed blood up. If you remember, it's one of the symptoms you're infected. I gained power and here I am." Blade smiled. I could barley move my fingers. The cold was kicking in but he looked fine. The same bleached hair was fine, even his skin. He only had jeans and a Tshirt, not even shoes.

Liz grabbed my hand, "I-it's cold..."
"I know sweetie, I know."

"Who's that? There's no way you and Jisu could've hopped into the bed and made her that quick." Blade said.
"She's my sister." I replied.

"My bad. Anyway...what happened to your Katanas, you had 2 the last time I saw you."
"They broke in the fight with Morgan."
"So you go with no weapon?"
"My new one was too heavy, slowed me."

Blade smirked.

"Let us go. We'll handle this another time." I said trying to walk by.
Blade zoomed by as I picked Liz up and walked away from him. He hit me back to the ground. I held Liz close so she wouldn't get hurt.
I got up only to be kicked back. I hit the ground and the wind was knocked out of me, but I still held Liz.
Blade began to continuously kick me and I felt Liz leave my arms.
Blade quit and I looked up before slowly rising, holding my side and wiping the dirt off of me.
"Stop hitting him!" Liz exclaimed, trying to protect me.
"Little girl...you need to know when to not get involved. This...is a time you don't!"

Blade landed a punch. "Huh?"
I blocked it and looked at Blade. "Tyr! Your eyes are red!" Liz said.
"Go home Liz. Hurry." I replied to her outburst.

Liz easily obeyed me and began running away in the opposite direction of the store.
I punched Blade in the gut and grabbed his neck before continuing to slam him into the snow. He grabbed me and flung me over his head and began punching me. I grabbed his fist and twisted his hand. I heard an unsettling crack and I knew his hand was broken. He grunted and I uppercutted him off of me. He fell down and I got up.
I kicked him but he blocked it, and with non-human strength, he flung me into a tree, cracking it.
I hit the ground and felt dizzy. I stood up and narrowly dodged a punch. I slammed Blade's head into the tree multiple times, "LEAVE! US! ALONE!" I yelled. I slammed my knee into his gut and hit coughed blood up before he fell.

I began to go away when I heard laughing. He stood up and rushed at me. He hit me and I kicked him in the side. He punched me and uppercutted me. I hit the ground hard and Blade took a step closer. He was about to throw a punch when he was rammed at an incredible force by a spear.
He fell but quickly got up only to be impaled by it. The person pulled the spear out and kicked them down before retreating.
"Looks like you need our help after all." Jisu said. She helped me up. "How did you-
"Liz told us that you were getting hurt. Mari was lucky to see her running to the house. She was freezing."
"Where is she now?"
"Zack's at the house trying to warm her up. She lucky if she doesn't get sick."

"Thank you..." I said. Jisu nodded to my thanks and we ran to the others.
Blade just began to get up and he smiled at us. "The regular crew's back together, and how many times have you failed to kill me?"
We stayed silent and I pulled out my knife. My only weapon on me. Blade motioned for us to try to attack but we stood our ground. Blade came up to me and was right in my face, smiling. "Scared?"
"No."
I slammed my fist into his face and stabbed his arm before throwing him over my head. He landed in the snow and wiped it off.
He ran at me at an impossible speed and hit me in the side and kicked me down before going after Jisu. He blocked her spear attacks except a slash and took her spear. He stood over Jisu ready to kill her when I put a hand on his shoulder. "You won't hurt anyone else." I said. I continued to hit hin continuously and broke his other hand before slamming him into a tree and elbowed his throat. I heard another bone crack as I kicked him over.
I went to the group and checked for wounds other than my own. I looked over at Blade once more, finalizing that I had snapped a bone in his neck.
Jisu helped me back since I was the most hurt, "You need a new Katana." Diana pointed out.
"I don't think I'll be able to get one. It's not common to find one without making one." I replied.
"It doesn't matter if he has a weapon or not. He just needs to be ok." Mari said. She stopped me and Jisu and whispered to us before walking again. "If I catch you trying to do things to Jisu if I walk in, I won't hesitate to kill you."
"Like you'll walk in on a couple if they try to have sex!" I whispered back harshly.
"W-what!? I won't do that! I didn't even mean it like that!"
"There really isn't another way to 'mean' it." I included quotations.
Jisu continued helping me but her face was bright red. I kissed her cheek and felt a death stare. That was the only action before we caught up to Diana.
