-------♤-------We all have various friends, too many we don't have enough fingers to count.
Half of them are just friends you hangout almost never with but say hi, a really small part are the ones that are your best friends - the ones that are always here for you, and then.. there are the internet friends.
The ones you meet every once in a while but you keep in contact only with some of them. Of course, you can't trust all of them but, you feel somehow connected to them.
You chat for a few years, through DMs, Skype or whatever. They're most likely to be from another country so meeting them is not as impossible as it seems. But sometimes it takes years.
Two years ago, I met that type of friend on Instagram.
Everything started when I replied to her story. We liked the same band, we had similar interests in everything. After chatting for a year, we became pretty close. I was always there when she needed me and she was there for me, too.
I remember there was the time where she texted me, saying her idol would never notice her, that he didn't even know she existed, and so on.
She was in complete depression.
It was the middle of the night and I thought she was pranking me or something, but soon enough I couldn't feel my thumbs. Of course, from typing too fast and too much.I am not mad at her about that, as I promised her we would always stay friends.
The first time we called each other, I remember my heart beating fast as soon as I heard my phone ring. We talked for hours.I then promised myself something.
I would meet her and break that distance between us in any way I could. But, it wasn't me that did that. It was her.
Another boring high school day.
Listening to the teachers blabbing about something, laughing my ass out at my friends' jokes, all that til lunch break came.I exited my classroom in order to go to the market near the school and buy myself some food.
I stopped my tracks in the middle of the hallway.
It felt like time stopped. The kids around me continued moving while I just stayed in place.I gasped when a small tear escaped my eye. A tear of joy.
It was her.
A dark blue coat, black boots, a beautiful shirt and pants, and a sky blue hijab is what she was wearing.I couldn't believe my eyes.
She stood there, smiling brightly at me.
I kneeled to the floor and tried to regain my thoughts.I just couldn't believe it.
Then I ran to her and gave her the biggest hug.
I'm sure everyone was looking at us awkwardly but I didn't care.I've been waiting for this moment for such a long time and now it finally happened.
"Oh my gosh! Sara! How- When did you come here? I can't believe it!" - I cried."Surprise!" - she said and we hugged again.
My hunger was replaced with butterflies in my stomach.
"Let's get in the classroom." - I said and led her to it.I asked my teacher if she could stay in class and they gave me a permission.
She met some of my friends and made my day even better. After school we went to my house.
We had a wonderful time, really.
She slept over for two nights and during that time, I gave her a tour around town and we did a lot of fun things.Of course I was sad when she had to leave but, I knew that it would be me that surprises her next time.
I am really happy that we could finally meet in person. It's amazing to have a friend like her.
I never wanna lose her.-------♤-------
