19: proposal

“You’re taking me out to dinner? Again?” – I said through the phone.

“Y/n, I want to spend every single second with you and our baby. What’s wrong with that?” – Namjoon said on the other line.

“I know but, we’re going out almost every day!”

“I promise this night will be special. Be ready in eight. I’m coming to get you.” – he said and hung up.

Aish.. what’s wrong with him these days?
I rubbed my still invisible tummy and went to get ready.

“Good evening, sir.” – I said with a smile and hugged my soon to be fiancee.

“Where are we going tonight?”

“It’s a surprise.” – he winked.

After a five minute drive, we arrived at a pretty restaurant.

At least that’s what it looked on the outside.

“You brought me to a Chinese restaurant?” – I said with voice full of excitement.

“I thought it would be good to try something new. I know you’ve never tasted sushi.” – he said and pulled the chair for me.

“Thank you.” – I made myself comfortable.
The waiter arrived and gave us our menus.
Namjoon then whispered something in his ear and the waiter smirked.

“What did you say to him?” – I asked curiously.

“Nothing.” – he looked away.

“Okay, I’ll let that pass.” – I rolled my eyes.
After a good conversation the waiter came with our sushi.

“I’m so excited to try them.” – I said and took one with my hand.

As I was about to put it in my mouth, Hongjoong spoke.

“Don’t you want to eat it slowly? Take only a bite first?” – I ignored him and put the whole thing in my mouth.

“It’s good.” – I said and sounded like a bear with my mouth full.

But the I felt something hard... and couldn’t swallow it.. so it got stuck in my throat.. and I started choking..

“Y/n? Y/n! Stay back!” – Namjoon screamed at the waiter as he went to my back and squeezed my abdomen.

Then I spit out the sushi with whatever that thing was with it. By that time everyone was gatherered around our table.

“Nobody move!” – Namjoon yelled and looked for something on the floor.

Then he kneeled in front of me and held a shiny diamond ring in his hand.

“My dear Y/n, I know the time I spent with you may be short. But I am sure that what I’m doing right now is one of the best decisions in my life.

I want to make you happy, because you are my one and only. I want to spend the rest of my life with you. So, will you marry me?” – we both already had tears in our eyes and we were shaking from excitement.

“Yes!” – I said and he stood up and kissed me.

“Let me wash this.” – he wanted to go to the restroom but I stopped him.

“No, it’s fine, you don’t have to.”

“But it’s dirty”

“Oh come on, it was in my mouth, it’s fine.” – I put the ring on my finger.

“It’s really pretty.”

“Not as pretty as you.”

“But seriously? Who puts a whole ring in sushi? People always do it in cake or wine, you idiot.”

"So you can immediately swallow it with the wine?"

"Yah!"
