2: the new student

"Again? Mom!" - I screamed in shock as I couldn't believe what was happening.

"Jin honey, I know you're tired of it, but that's what my job requires. Pack your bags, we're leaving tonight." - I let her finish and stormed in my room, slamming the door behind me.

I couldn't believe what she was saying.
Like it isn't hard to make friends when you keep switching schools.

Few minutes later I heard a knock on my door.

"Can I come in?" - I heard my mom's voice from the other side.

I sighed and told her to come in.

"Look, honey. I know this is really hard for you." - she sat next to me.

Her voice was calm.

"You can't make friends everywhere you go, I know that well. But there's nothing I can do, that's my job. I am really sorry, but please try to understand me. This is hard for me too. I don't want to leave this place either. But I promise you, this is the last time." - she said and my eyes widened.

"Promise?" - I said and held her hand.

"Promise." - we hugged.

It was 6pm when I started packing my bags.
Going in another town also meant changing houses. My mom called her friend over to help her put our stuff in boxes.

Then she paid a man to bring them to the new town.

"So, what's our new location?" - I asked when we got in the car.

"Busan."

Y/n's POV

"Yeah okay! See you there!" - I waved at my friend.

I didn't know if I could call her a friend.

I'm not an introvert, but I just feel like I hate everyone. And I'm annoyed by everyone. I do have friends, but none of them are real.

It's like, as soon as we step outside of school, we're strangers.

I think all of this is because I have trust issues to basically everyone.

I happened to be very popular in middle school, but.. my boyfriend cheated on me and I was so hurt, that ever since then I couldn't trust anyone.

I feel like everything around me is boring, my school is boring, I can't even talk to my mom without her giving me a lecture every time. I just want to graduate and leave this place as soon as I can.

Nothing's happened in my life. It's really, really boring.

"Good evening, mom." - I greeted her as I got in our house.

"Hi, Y/n. I'm going out with your dad. I left you some food in the fridge, eat it if you're hungry." - she said as she applied the red lipstick on her lips.

"Okay." - I said a bit annoyed.

That's what it is. They're not caring much about me. But that's not what bothers me. Let's just say, I need more action in my life.

I got in my room and threw myself on my bed. A minute later, I heard people talking, making some kind of a noise.

I looked out my window and saw a woman and a boy. They were taking boxes inside the house opposite of me.

"New neighbors, huh?" - I chuckled and went downstairs.

Well I should at least welcome them.

Our house was pretty close to theirs, so I could see everything happening in their yard.
It was obvious the mom was inside, and the boy.. he, was fighting invisible ninjas?
