"See you at 8 tonight!" - my best friend said and with that, ended the call.

It was our prom day today. And I was so excited. Tonight would be so amazing. I didn't have a partner, but that didn't bother me. I can take a pic with Hana.

I bought my dress two weeks ago, I had an appointment with a makeup artist and a hair stylist. My mom and dad paid for the best. They said I would be the prettiest girl tonight, and I believed in that like a little girl.

What? I was still a kid.

I also couldn't wait to see my crush. He doesn't notice me much but, at least he knows I exist.

Me and Hana know each other since kindergarten, and we are not among the most popular kids in school. We often get laughed at, but we don't give a damn about those jerks from our class. As long as we stick together and have each other's back, were gonna be fine.

"Sweetie you're going to be late!" - my mom yelled from downstairs.

"I'm going!" - I said and after grabbing my wallet, I exited the house.

The beauty studio wasn't that far away so I walked there.

I decided on a light makeup and a curled ponytail. I'm always for the classics.

I knew those girls from my class would look like 30-year-old women, so I chuckled at the thought of that.

After sitting on the same spot for an hour, I was finally done.

And after glancing at the mirror for a couple of seconds, I liked what I was seeing. My mom and dad wouldn't recognize me.

The power of makeup..

Just a few more hours and Hana would come to my house with a taxi and we would head to the big hall.

I couldn't stop imagining how my crush would look.

A white button up shirt with pants and a black jacket, glowing shoes and maybe a black bow tied around his neck.

After telling my mom I had a crush she would always tease me about him for basically everything!

I couldn't wait for the clock to hit seven so I could put on my dress and play some music while I waited for Hana.

But she came a little earlier. That was a lot better to be honest. Time spent faster as we talked and the time has finally come.

I put on my dress and after Hana helped me with the zipper, we went downstairs.

"You two are gorgeous! I wouldn't mind dating you if you were a little older." - my dad joked.

"Oh really? You'd have two girlfriends?"
- Hana said and we laughed.

"Leave my two girls alone!" - my mom said after coming back from the kitchen.

"You're breathtaking." - she turned to me and kissed my forehead.

"Thanks mom." - I gave her a smile.

"The taxi is here. Let's go." - Hana grabbed my hand and took me outside.

"I am really excited." - she said when we got in the car.

"Me too. Can't wait for the pic." - I added and we smiled to each other.

Fifteen minutes later we arrived at the huge hotel.

The school booked it because of the big hall they had.

I couldn't wait to see it.

We came in line for a picture, and I was really surprised when my crush came to me and asked me to do it together.

Hana took a pic with another boy and went to talk with him.

"Hi, Y/n." - he said.

"Hi, Joon. Gosh, sorry, Namjoon."

"It's okay, I like it when you call me that."
- he said and I felt my cheeks turning red.
"Hey, do you want some punch?" - the music was getting louder and we couldn't hear each other well.

Then I saw he already had punch in his hand. Stupid me.

"Or, you already have some, okay. - I said and poured some for myself.

"Um, Y/n, would you like to dance?"

"Sorry, what?"

He came closer to my face so I could hear him.

"Would you like to dance with me?"

I got so excited.

"S-Sure." - I went to the DJ and gave him my phone.

"Can you play this for me? Track five."
- I asked and he nodded.

I took Namjoon's hand and we stood at the dance floor.

People made way and surrounded us.

What I didn't know was that those three mean girls from my class were watching us.

"Are you okay? You were amazing, Y/n."
- Namjoon said after helping me stand up.
Everyone was laughing, but I was used to it.
And the tears that would always come out like a river whenever I was bullied, I guess they dried up.

At least I got a pic and a dance with my crush. And I thought this night would be amazing. It was, to some part..

"Y/n, are you okay? I swear to God, I'll kill those bitches." - Hana said after dragging me away from Namjoon.

"I'm fine, calm down."

Right then, the three bee-queens came to where I was standing.

"Y/n sweetie, are you okay? You should've been more careful out there. Oh, your dress is a little out of place, let me fix it."

- the girl said and she already had a scissor in her arm and cut my strap.

They laughed and left.

"Yah! I'll kill you!" - Hana yelled and went after them.

And I thought I didn't have the tears anymore. Who was I lying?

I ran outside the hotel crying. I sat on one of the benches there and hugged myself because it was cold.

A few seconds later, I felt someone's hand on my shoulder.

When I turned around I saw Namjoon.
He tied my strap together and gave me his coat.

"It's cold here." - he said and sat next to me.
"I'm fine." - I said and wiped my tears but even more fell down my face.

Then, Namjoon's warm hand cupped my cheeks.

"Don't cry, Y/n. You're not beautiful when you're crying. You need to always have a smile on your face." - he said and with the help if his thumbs formed a smile from my lips.

"Everything will be alright." - he said and slightly pushed me towards him.

I laid my head on his chest.

"I like you more when you're smiling."
- he said and kissed my head.

This time I finally smiled brightly.

"Thank you, Joon."

"Why didn't you tell me you liked me? You didn't know if I had the same feelings."
- he said and I looked at him.

"Well that's why I didn't." - with his hand on my cheek, he pulled me into a kiss.

I got shy again and my cheeks turned red.

"Don't be shy from me." - I laid on his chest again.

"I love you too."
