"Why can't I go with them?" I crossed my arms.
"You aren't trained." Batman said.
I raised an eyebrow. "I can fight."
"This mission is not about fighting. It's a covert operation you would only be in the way."
"We also do not want you to get hurt. If your job is to simply observe us, whoever sent you must have thought you should not be put in a position of risk." Kaldur said.
I chuckled. "That's actually kinda funny. Fine, I won't go but I'm not going to sit here all night waiting on you guys."
Batman nodded before looking at the Team. "Suspicious ships have been seen off of the Florida coast. League satellites have determined that they're a mix of modern ships and-"
I walked away at that point. I didn't care. Why should I if I'm not going to be allowed to go?
I sighed and sat on the couch. I watched TV for a while before getting up. I think I'll call Blackjack and we can fly around for a little bit.
Of course, I'll have to get him donuts but that's a small price to pay. I'll just stop by a supermarket and get one of the boxes on the day old rack.

I dodged an attack and rolled to sit behind some crates. I formed a shield and used my other water bearer to shoot water at a few of the enemies.
It was not effective.
My teammates were not having much luck either. Wally was doing his best to disarm our enemies. Robin was still attempting to hack into the ships weapon system. Artemis was defending herself and Megan, who had been knocked out earlier.
Connor was-
I winced as he flew backward, hitting and going through the metal. He flew off of the side and into the water.
About to dive off after him, I paused when Artemis collapsed to the ground. Soon after, Wally slipped on the wet slippery deck and hit his head against the metal.
This is why I told him to be careful.
"Robin!" I yelled.
He turned to look and the lenses of his mask widened. I winced as a soldier slammed his gun against Robin's head.
The gun was pointed at him and I tensed.
"Don't do anything you'll regret." Sportsmaster's voice came from behind me.
I dropped my waterbearers. I ended up on the ground, my vision fading. Just before it did, I saw a pair of sneakers hit the deck.
When I came to, I was surprised that I was not dead and that I was not in shackles of some form.
I groaned and sat up.
"Oh, good you're awake."
I looked around, trying the source of the voice. "Percy? What are you doing here? And where are we?"
"I, uh, stole a boat. Hold on, I'll be down in a minute."
Percy climbed down. She wore a wide grin and a jacket was tied around her waist.
"You know, for trained heroes you sure do get knocked out easily. The easiest I've seen someone get knocked out before was with a brick."
"Where are the others?"
"By the mizzen-mast. Only ship I could steal was this one. Why did they have sailing ships anyway?"
"Historical reenactments, possibly." I stood up. "Do you actually know how to sail this or are we stranded at sea? I can call for help if we are."
"No signal, I tried Robin's early. Regretted it almost immediately. We're in a still right now but we should be good. And yes I know how to sail. My dad's a sailor and he taught me how to sail on of these things."
"Where did he find a sailing ship?"
"There's still a few in service, and my dad's family has a bunch of money so I'm pretty sure he had one built. Now try to get the others-"
"Is Connor okay?! He was in the water and-"
"He's fine. Although it would have been nice if you were the one who got thrown into the water, I wouldn't have had to do CPR." Percy stretched and turned around. "I'm going to fix the sails."
She did what she said she was going to do, but she did it expertly with no hesitation. It was like she had been doing this since she was born. For all I know, she might have been.
She's mentioned her father and I cannot recall if she has mentioned her mother. So she may have been raised on a ship.
I walked to my friends. They were laying in the shade and I sighed in relief. I knelt down and shook them until they woke up. Megan was the only one who didn't.
"What happened?" Connor asked.
"We were all knocked out, somehow Percy found us and stole this ship."
A strong wind picked up and I could tell the ship was moving.
"Something weird happened to my computer, I think water got in it. I can't pull up a map."
"And I can't get the League." Wally frowned. "How are we going to get back? If we're too far away or we're headed out, I mean look at what happened to the Pilgrims."
"We're on a direct course to shore. We should be there soon and then I'll take this thing to my dad. He'll figure out what to do with it." Percy walked over.
"How...how do you know that?" Artemis asked.
Percy shrugged. "I just do. And you're welcome by the way."
"What?"
"I saved your butts back there. So you're welcome."
