Ava,
I hope you enjoy the flowers.
I'm sorry I had to use Tom's help to deliver this to your floor.
I can't directly face you.

Ava muttered a sharp insult under her breath, her frustration evident as she reached for her phone to call Connor. After a couple of rings, he answered the incoming call.
"Ava, thank God... where are you?" Connor's voice sounded relieved yet apprehensive.
"What the hell, Connor?" Ava's tone was laced with anger and confusion.
Connor attempted to explain himself, his words tumbling out in a rush, "Ava, I was going to explain everything that night, but I couldn't reach you. Why won't you return any of my calls?"
"I'm back at my apartment," Ava responded, cutting him off abruptly.
"Alright, I'm still at--" Connor began, but Ava interrupted him.
"I don't need to know where you are right now," she retorted coldly.
Frustrated by Ava's interruptions, Connor urged her to relax, "You need to relax and stop interrupting me when I'm talking to you."
Ava demanded, her voice filled with skepticism, "So, do you have anything to say for yourself?"
"Yes, I assume you've listened to the voicemails I sent you. I am truly sorry for my actions towards you. I let anger consume me. Let's start over. I'll make it up to you, okay? I'll be home tonight, and maybe we could have dinner together or watch movies," Connor offered, his voice pleading.
Ava hesitated, her doubts still lingering. "How can I believe that you'll be different this time?"
"Because I want to make it work, Ava. I love you. I will do anything not to ruin our relationship. I know you want the same," Connor reassured her earnestly.
Ava's mind was swirling with conflicting emotions. She couldn't help but bring up the flowers and the mysterious letter in the envelope. "What about the flowers? A letter from you? And you involved Tom?"
Confusion colored Connor's response, "What flowers? Do you want me to bring you flowers for dinner? I didn't do anything involving Tom."
Ava remained silent, her confusion intensifying.
Connor's voice grew more concerned, "Wait, what are you talking about? Are we talking about the same thing?"
"Nevermind," Ava dismissed his confusion. "A flower would be lovely. I want to make us work too. I'll see you tonight."
Connor said his goodbyes and hung up the phone, leaving Ava holding the letter in her hands. She attempted to read it once more, hoping to find clarity in its words.
Ava,I hope you enjoy the flowers.I'm sorry I had to use Tom's help to deliver this to your floor.I can't directly face you.I'm a big believer in second chances.I'm ready to start over.London isn't the best start for us.Perhaps we could try Chicago for our second start.
As Ava read the words written on the back of the paper, a wave of realization washed over her. The mention of London triggered memories from her past, reminding her that her previous mistakes and experiences had resurfaced to haunt her future with Connor.
