Isaiah wanted to stop. He had to if he didn't want to lose his girl. He paced around the living room, thinking
what to do.Faith was sitting on the sofa, looking at him. Seeing him stress, made her stress and it had to end. Right here, right now.
"You know what it is, Isaiah?" He stopped walking and just looked at her, afraid of what she was going to say.
"I can't force you to stop. You're the one who has to make the decision. I can't change you, but you can. Your decision will determine how important I am to you. So, if you made your choice, I'm in our bedroom." With that, she stood up and left.
Sighing, he sat down on the bean bag, staring at the ceiling fan.
"Your decision will determine how important I am to you."
Man this girl, he thought. Always speaking nothing but the truth.
"Babe! I'll be right back! Give me 30 minutes." She ignored him. Her heart was beating like crazy. What was his plan? Where did he go?
Exactly 30 minutes later, police sirens filled her ears as they drove into her street.
She basically flew to her window to see what was going on.
By her surprise, they stopped at her front door, revealing three police officers walking up to her door with Isaiah on their side.
Faith ran downstairs, opening the door and jumped into his arms. He was shocked at first, but then embraced her.
"Mrs. Perez, I'm sorry I have to interrupt this intimate moment with your partner, but I'd like to tell you why we're here. My name is David and they're my colleagues Patrick and Craig." David said, pointing to them.
Faith nodded, with confusion written all over her face. She looked up at Isaiah who gave her an assuring look.
"We're here because Isaiah needs our protection. He made the decision to leave the Prophets and let's just say that they weren't happy with that."
"So, what's the best thing to do?"
"I suggest you guys move. Far away from here. If it's possible, go overseas. Isaiah's not safe out there, but especially not you ma'am. You're the target."
Anger washed over him as he saw the fear in her eyes. It was all his fault. He never meant to put his girl in danger, let alone put her life at stake.
To be honest? He didn't deserve her at all. A real man would never do that to his woman.
"I'm sorry babe. For everything that you have to go through because of me. I'm a horrible boyfriend for doing this to you man. Foreal," Isaiah tried to walk away, but Faith pulled him back, staring into his eyes.
"We're riders for life, remember? We made that promise to each other," She held up her wrist, showing the matching bracelet he gave her 5 years ago.
"So, you're not going to walk away from me. We're going to fix this as a team and going to overcome this as a team. Am I right?" He smiled at her gratefully.
These type of people right here are rare and really hard to find. She's one of a kind and he was really happy that he had her by his side.
"I know a spot we can go to. Let's pack our bags."
