Present Day

Luke always left after sex. He never felt bad about how they'd wake up alone or how they'd feel.

But he felt terrible for leaving Ashton. And that confused him.

Ashton was just, well, Ashton. There was nothing special about the boy, at least not to Luke. (besides the fact he basically lived for the sound of Ashton's laugh or the fact Ashton's smile brightened his dull days)

All of Luke's emotion's were jumbled and disarray and he couldn't think straight and all he could think about was how terrible Ashton must feel. Luke hated the fact he was worrying about some boy he met because he kicked a soccer ball.

So he decided to go to talk to Calum.

"What do you want Luke"

"I slept with Ashton."

Calum looked beyond pissed. He probably would have attacked the blonde boy if he wasn't such a nice person.

"Get your ass in here. Now."

Luke stepped into Calum's house, feeling his arm being grabbed and Calum dragging him up to his room.

"Explain yourself before I beat your ass."

"I took him to a party, lost him, some chick attacked him, lost him again, and when I found him he was drunk and one thing led to another and we had sex. I left the end, quite simple really."

"You really have no fucking clue what he's been through have you Luke? He's had so much shit in his life and he's only 16! Yes he smiles all the time but did yoou ever consider it's fake? He was bullied and harrassed as a kid. He literally had no one, his parents didn't care, he took care of his sibilings and had to get a job at fucking 10 years old. He didn't have a shoulder to lean on before I came along and I wasn't enough Luke. He was so sad all the time and he started to cut and God, I wanted to help him so bad Luke. I-I couldn't always help him Luke. He shouldn't have had to go through that and I'm not even sure if he's okay now. He's so good at making others happy but I never know if he actually makes himself happy y'know? I've seen him come to school with bruises and sometimes he's limping but he-he just won't let me help."

Calum was silently crying wow, Luke felt like such a dick. He never knew how affected he was by Ashton. He didn't even know he was crying until Calum hugged him

"I think I'm falling in love with Ashton."
