One Year Ago

"What happened to you Luke?"

"I grew up."

Present Day

Scared was an understatement.

Luke was  horrified. Ever since he met Ashton he has been. Ashton made him feel things again.

He wasn't numb anymore.

He could feel fear and happiness and sadness and excitement and hope.

And at the moment, he felt fear.

Fear of what Michael would do to him. Fear of what Michael would do to Ashton. His sun and his moon and Luke's reason to smile. Luke's reason to give a shit about anything other than himself.

He was sitting in the backseat of Michael's car, waiting for him to finish talking to Ashton and tried ignoring the pain in his arm and back from when Michael shoved him into the backseat.

Michael began walking back to the car and Luke could see Ashton glaring at the red-head and heard Ashton yell, "Fuck you!" towards Michael. Who didn't really care.

"Buckle up, Lukey."

Luke glared at the back of Michael's seat but buckled his seat belt anyways because its better to be safe than sorry and he wasn't about that life.

"What did you tell Ashton?"

"Who?"

"Fuckboy."

"Oh I told him if he came near you again I would kill him."

Michael just shrugged, like taking a somebodies life was normal and okay.

"You threatened to kill him?! Michael, that's illegal."

"So what!? I don't care. But if you go near him I'll kill you too.I don't have favouritism."

Luke felt flabbergasted, another new Ashton-bestowed emotion.

"You're crazy!."

"I am not! I'm just saving myself the heartbreak."

Luke didn't hear the second part , just like he never heard Michael when they were younger.

"Get up, fat."

Mr.Irwin groaned looking up at his soon, anger enlightening inside of him.

"You were kissing another boy! That's disgusting, help me up. Now."

Ashton pulled up the man with ease and felt a fist against his cheek as soon as he let his Father go.

"I am sorry, it will not happen again. Where are the kids?"

"I don't know, at home with your Mother? Don't ever let me see you kissing another male again got it queer?"

"Yeah, yeah. Whatever. Mom is at home?"

Ashton's heart did a leaf of joy thinking about seeing his Mother for more than five minutes and converse with her and tell her about how much he loved her and missed her.
