NIALL
I pace back and forth in my room, looking between my clothes that lay out on the bed and my shoes that are on the floor. It's been kind of a crazy week, but I'm so excited for this I could just fucking scream. I've waited a long time to take her out; I just hope that her best friend doesn't chop my balls off.
I'm buttoning the last button on my shirt when there is a knock on my door, "Come in!" I holler.
I look up when I see Hero walking in. We've been friends for a while now, but I still can't stand how intimidating he can be, it makes me all the more nervous.
"Don't you look handsome?" He mocks before sitting down in my desk chair.
"Listen mate, I'm nervous as hell, so if you're going to like give me a lecture, do it now and get it over with, I legit can not take much more crap," I snap at him.
He just smiles, "Nah, were good. Just don't hurt her okay? She's been through the ringer in her life, she doesn't need another guy coming in and des-"
"I'm not him, I won't do that," I stand my ground, while grabbing my jacket off the bed, along with my keys.
Hero stands up and I watch as he sighs, "Hey can I maybe catch a ride with you over to her apartment?"
"Why?" I really don't need him to ruin this night for me.
"I'm... Well I'm meeting up with Mae is all."
I raise my eyebrows and shake my head, "Sure, you can come, as long as you promise not to hurt Mae?"
Ever since we saw them making out in Kiya's kitchen we have all kind of kept out mouths shut about it. Hero is a good guy over all, but his reputation is one for the books and a sweet heart like Mae just needs to be careful around him. We were all shocked walking in, but not Kiya. I remember looking at her and she stood there with her hand on her hip and a big smile on her face. I feel like she probably knew it was going to happen, her and Allie did place a bet and Kiya won of course.
"I'm not fucking stupid," he states. "She's best friends with Kiya, how the fuck would I get away with hurting her?"
"No need to get defensive dude, I'm just saying, don't hurt her."
"Got it," he mumbles.
"Come on, we got to stop by the flower shop before we get to her apartment," I say.

After getting the flowers I'm a nervous wreck, which is weird because I'm around Kiya all the time, but were usually with friends or just hanging out, not a date. Hero is looking at me with raised brows. "What?" I snap.
"You look like you're going to fucking hurl."
"I might, I don't know. I'm excited but I'm really nervous for some reason."
Hero laughs, "Kiya is probably just as nervous, probably so much so that she didn't smoke before this date, and that's important," there is a slight pause before he continues. "Where are you taking her anyway?"
I bite my lip and let out a breath, "I'm gonna do the basic thing. Dinner and a movie."
"Lame," Hero says while looking out the window. "What movie?"
"The 7:30 show of the second Maleficent."
Hero then looks at me and smiles. "You may get your dick sucked dude, she's been dying to see that movie."
"Jesus fucking Christ Hero, don't talk like that," I say while I put the car in park. Hero is sitting there laughing his ass off. I'm attracted to her in all ways, but I want to take things a little bit slower with her, to show her that I care, because I really do fucking care. I always have, sometimes I think Hero just uses her, hell any girl that comes into his life. Over the years we have gotten used to him and were good pals, but there are times I just want to deck him in the face.
