We waited until late in the night to leave Eggman's base. Infinite used me as a crutch as we left the base in the cover of darkness. "Where exactly are we going Infinite? You haven't exactly told me anything about this plan of yours." He adjusts his mask before answering me. "We need weapons. Without those, we're finished. I have this old safehouse with a small stockpile. It's hidden in Green Hill. That's where we're headed. I'll tell you my plan once we're out of Eggman's earshot." We continue walking in silence after that. Every now and then I shiver from the cold night wind. By the time we reach Green Hill, it's early dawn. "Where's the safe house? I don't see any buildings around here." He laughs lightly then winces from the pain. "It's hidden. My squad wasn't dumb enough to build our safe house out in the open. See that rock pile over there. There's a hidden switch there." I set Infinite down against the nearby wall before inspecting the rocks. Faintly, I see a seamline in the rocks. A circular shape lightly etched into the biggest rock. I press down on the spot and feel it push in like it was a button. I hear some mechanical noises and the wall next to Infinite opens a secret door. "Clever, isn't it? The brainiac that made this safehouse was pretty good at what she did. She and her sister were quite the duo. But I don't think now is the time for sentiments. When this is all over, maybe I'll tell you about the old me. Now hurry up and get us inside before the door closes." I hurry over and help Infinite inside the safe house. Once we're inside, I help Infinite onto a black leather couch. I sigh, no longer burdened by the weight of half-carrying Infinite. I take this time to observe the safe house. It looks relatively clean but it also looks deserted, like it hasn't been used in a long time. "You can feel free to look about. There should still be some food and supplies in here, somewhere. I'm gonna get some shut-eye and sleep off the pain. Don't break anything." Infinite takes off his mask and lays it on the nearby coffee table. He sighs and shuts his eyes, clutching the bandages on his chest. I wonder if they have any painkillers in here. I wander around the safehouse until I enter an area that looks like a kitchen. I go around opening one cabinet after another until I find one with the contents I'm looking for. Sitting in the cabinet was a large first aid kit and some bottles of water. I pull out the kit and look inside. Some bandages, expired Neosporin, and half a bottle of ibuprofen. I take the bottle of painkillers out of the kit and grab a bottle of water. I return to the room where I left Infinite and leave the two bottles on the coffee table next to his mask. I hope those help.

When I wake from my nap, I notice a water bottle and a bottle of painkillers next to my mask. I don't see (Y/N) anywhere nearby however. She must be in a different room. Gidget did make this place pretty big. I grab two pills and take a gulp of water to wash them down. Hopefully, those help the pain in my chest. I get up off the couch and grip the side to steady myself. I suppose I should go look for her to make sure she doesn't get lost in here. Using the wall to support myself, I walk down the halls of the safe house I once called home. As I walk, I get passing memories of the days I spent with my squad. I'll never forgive him for what he did to them but at the same time, I'll never forgive myself for allowing it to happen. My whole squad was wiped out by that brooding monster. Without thinking, I slammed my fist into the metal wall. I hear a small scream and realize I'm not alone in the room. "I-Infinite! You scared me! When did you wake up?" I slide down the wall, unable to hold myself up. "I woke up a few moments ago. Thanks for the painkillers by the way." "No problem. Are you okay Infinite? You're crying." I didn't even notice until she pointed it out. Streaming down my face were fresh tears that had gone unnoticed by me. I guess I was too deep in my own memories. Suddenly I feel a warmth envelop me. "I won't ask what happened but I'm guessing this has something to do with your past." I silently nod and slowly wrap my arms around her. I guess it's been so long since I last felt anything I no longer know my own emotions. We sit like that until I realize now isn't the time for this. I'll let myself cry when this is all over. I quickly pull away wincing a bit as my painkillers had yet to take effect. "You're still in the dark about my plan right? Well, I suppose since we have the time I should tell you what it is. You still have that prototype right?" She looks at me confused. "What prototype?" "The glowing rock you had. The one you used during our fight. The one you used during the Phantom Ruby's tests. That prototype. Don't tell me you lost it." She pulls it out of her pocket, showing it to me. "No, I still have it. Is it important to your plan?" I nod, "It is. You use it to stop the Phantom Ruby and I'll try to close in on it. Hopefully, if we're lucky, I can shatter him into a million pieces. But in order to do that, I'm going to need my sword. Unfortunately, it's not here." "Huh? What do you mean it's not here? Didn't you say you had a weapon stockpile here?" "I do. My sword isn't among the stockpile however. I left it behind when I became Infinite. In other words, it's still at the lab where Zero died."
