"You're wearing that to school today?" Abi sneered as she walked into my room. I was wearing my new lilac dress and a pair of black heels which made me seem 5'6 instead of my short 5'4 self. I was lucky because the dress fit me perfectly, meaning I was right getting the smallest size, and it was none too short. And maybe there was the fact that Mr. Tomlinson, I mean Louis, had told me it was a nice dress and had kind of admitted that he had a crush, if you could at his age, on me.

"What's wrong with this?" I asked confused.

"Nothing, it just looks like you're trying to impress someone, a boyfriend or crush or something. It's not fully you." She stated like it was obvious. God she needed another influence but me. "Anyway, if we don't leave in the next five minutes we'll be late for school."

"You will be, mine starts a half hour after yours squirt. Anyway, I'm ready. Go get in the car."

"Okay, but what about lunch?" She was a smart kid, and I had forgotten about that.

"I'll pick you up subway at lunch, alright?"

"Okay." She ran off to get into the car. I looked one more time at my makeup and outfit. It all went together nicely with my curled dark brown hair. I didn't think I was very pretty but at least I looked decent in this outfit, which was better than normal.

I parked the car and looked at my schedule to make sure I was right thinking I had english first.  It turned I had the wrong day and had it second, off block was first. That meant I could get Abi's subway before class. I needed to put my books in my locker first, which was right by the english room. That meant I could see him before class... I don't know why I still had such a crush on him, he had pretty much told me nothing would happen since he was my teacher. I wish he wasn't though, he was probably five years older but still. I was my locker right there so I walked right over to it.

"Reenee?" That voice was oh so famililar.

"Mr. Tomlinson." I said turning around to face him.

"What class are you off to this morning?" He asked as any teacher would.

"I have off block and then you I believe."

"Oh, well I have a prep period first. If you wanted you could come into my room and work on anything you need to do." He almost sounded hopeful.

"Sure," I said grabbing my books. "That'd be nice." I locked my locker and then followed him into his room. He shut the door behind us and went to his desk.

"I'll just be here if you want anything."

"Okay, what are you grading by the way?" I asked sitting at a desk right by his.

"Just your guys papers. Yours was amazing by the way. It's hard to believe you're only in grade 11."

"Oh... thanks, I love writing. I prefer poems and lyrics to essays though."

"You write music?" he asked guinuinly.

"Yeah... I love singing but I'm taking a break since the plane crash, it was something me and my mom shared before she... well... passed."

"Well I'm very sorry to hear that. Maybe someday you'll sing for me though?"

"Sure, maybe. Well, now you know me a bit better, tell me something about yourself Mr."

"Louis." He cut me off.

"Okay, Louis?"

"Well, I'm good friends with some of my students, and I'm only 21."

"What?"

"My moms good friends with the principal, you might even say they're the same person, so she got me this job with one Englsh degree. Not complaining about having to take less school to do something that I love but there is definately one downside to my job."
