5. Post concert

After the concert had ended and people started leaving the arena, Lucy sat back down in her seat. Frozen, unable to move. Kristin noticed Lucy looking star struck. "Luce? You okay?" she sat back down beside Lucy tapping her shoulder.
     Lucy began to sigh as she looked over to Kristin, "Not really. I've waited so long for this to happen, and now it's over." Lucy spoke softly leaning her head on Kristin's shoulder.

"It's gonna be okay. We came, at least we can say that." Kristin spoke confident in her words. "Yeah you're right, but I just thought I'd feel complete but now I feel empty." Lucy stated as she sighed.

"Lucy, I understand. But hey, don't be sad. Let's go home and watch a movie, and we can stop by Kale's and get some food."

"Really?" Lucy asked with a slight smile. She was still conflicted, why did she feel so empty? She got to see her favorite band in concert.

"Yes dear. Now come on before security kicks us out." She stands up holding her hand out.

Lucy takes her hand and stands up grabbing her things and started to walk away, taking one last look at the place sighing as they exit the arena.

LOUIS

"I think that was the best concert yet!" Harry said wiping his face with a towel.

"Totally! You see that crowd? The way they harmonized together during little things?" Zayn spoke up sitting on a couch backstage.

Louis went to speak but stopped himself, remembering the girl he saw in the front row. The tear filled eyes yet still a smile on her face. He still feels like he has seen her before, he can't help but to think about it.

Suddenly, "Lou you okay?" Niall walks up to Louis waving a hand in front of his face.

"Oh yeah." he shook his head walking over to side of backstage, but he stopped when he saw people were still sitting down. He realized it was the girls he saw earlier. They looked sad, the blonde was comforting the girl with the pixie cut hair it seemed. Louis wondered what they were talking about.

"Lou! Come on! We gotta get back to the bus!" he heard Zayn yelling for him, pulling him out of his thoughts. He took one last look at the girls, who were now leaving. Sighing, he made his way to catch up with the guys. 

"I thought we were staying here for a while since it was the last concert?" Harry asked with a confused face.

Liam walked up shaking his head, "We are. But how do you expect us to get to the hotel?" he said as he bursted out in laughter putting a hand on Harry's shoulder.

Harry shook Liam's hand off of him while laughing, "Of course. I knew that." And walked away.

Louis laughed while shaking his head at him. Poor Harry filled with excitement can't even remember some things.

LUCY

Lucy and Kristin headed back to the car, before she got in she looked back at the arena, "Goodbye. Best night ever." And got into the car.

The whole care ride home Lucy was eerily silent, Kristin tried to put on music to cheer her up but nothing worked.
Kristin was slightly worried about Lucy. She had never seen Lucy act like this, nor was this the reaction she expected.

For the rest of the car ride the girls remained in silence listening to music. The silence could probably cut through glass, this kind of silence has never existed between the two before.

"Lucy were home." Lucy suddenly snapped out of her thoughts when Kristin called to her. She unbuckled, grabbing their food and headed inside.

Lucy set their food on the coffee table and wrapped herself in a blanket. "Lucy are you sure you're okay?" Kristin sat beside her handing her some  Hot Chocolate.

"I'm fine. Can we drop the subject?" Louis looked at her with pleading eyes.

"Yes Luce. I just want you to know that I'm here for you." Lucy nodded and put on the movie.

Lucy usually has no problem sharing everything with Kristin, however she has been finding herself not wanting to tell anyone that she met Louis. She has no idea why though. Is she scared? Is she worried? Has she finally snapped?
    The guilt of withholding information from her best friend is beginning to eat at her.

While watching the movie, Lucy finished her hot chocolate and just watched the movie smiling. Singing to the music and enjoying herself and the night. She is so proud of the whole band, not many bands can accomplish they have in so little time.

"Lucy?" Kristin looked over at her.
"Yes?"
"What would you do if you got to meet Louis?"
Lucy rose her eyebrow, "why?"
Kristin shrugged, "I'm just wondering. You know I can be nosy."
Lucy sighed, "Oh, Kris. I'm not sure. I would probably be too star struck to do anything."

"I feel the same, but hey you never know. You yourself have said anything can happen." Kristin said as she turned and set her drink onto the coffee table.

"Don't quote my videos" Lucy says laughing before continuing, "Getting to talk to Louis Tomlinson is.. it's ridiculous. I mean where the hell would I find myself in that situation?"
Kristin shook her head at Lucy and paused the movie.

"Okay what is up? I mean you usually tell me everything. Something has been off since you last went to Kale's.. and tonight we see our favorite band live and you look like you'd rather think about anything else."

"Kristin Roberts." Kristin rolled her eyes at the use of her last name. "Nothing happened! I just.."

Kristin took a heavy breath, You just what? You met someone? You want to move out? Spit it out."

Lucy sat in silence for a moment as a tear comes to her eyes, "I met Louis." She said in the smallest of whispers.

Kristin laughs softly, "No you didn't. You're trying to make me a fool."

Lucy stands up as a tear falls down her cheek, "Yes I did! Ugh.. remember the guy who I bumped into?"

Kristin stands up visibly upset as she pieced it together, "Why didn't you tell me?" Kristin paused as she choked up. "Why would you keep that from me?"

Lucy sighs running her hand through her hair, "I don't know okay! If I admit it.. then it really happened, and those things don't happen."

She scoffs at Lucy but she continues, "I'm not some silly fan girl like you, we crossed paths and I embarrassed myself, that's the end of it."

Kristin chuckled, "So I'm the silly fan girl right? That's it? Really?"

Lucy had no idea what to say, she just stood there staring at Kristin.

Kristin backs up away from her and says through gritted teeth, "That's what I thought." she said softly before heading to her room.

"Kris! Wait!" Swiftly running to her, Kristen slams her door. "Fuck.." she drops by the door.

"Kris.. open up please.. i-I'm sorry. You know I didn't mean it" Lucy spoke softly through her door with her voice shaking.

This is usually what happens, one of the two says something they don't mean and they simply ignore each other.
However, this time she was afraid she might have taken it too far. After ten minutes she sighs and heads to her room shutting the door.
She felt like she had royally fucked up, Lucy knew she really hurt her. Kristin is just a carefree soul who isn't afraid to show the real her, someone Lucy wish she could be.
