22. THROUGH THE DARK

"So Lily is only couple of blocks away, so we can walk there." I grabbed Louis's hands interlocking our fingers. "Okay love." He said smiling.
   As we began walking he he stopped me and pulled me close.
"What is it Lou?"

"I just wanna look at you for a second. You're absolutely beautiful." He said kissing my forehead.

"Oh Lou.. you're too sweet. But we have to get going. My visit with Lily is long over due." I smiled kissing his cheek.
    We continued walking for three blocks till I see the BlackWood Cemetery. I grab a hold of Louis's hand tightly. "You ready to meet Lily?"

"Of course Love, where is she? I don't see her." He asked confused.

"She's over there, come on." I walk into the Cemetery holding onto his hand tightly.

"Lucy.. why are we in a cemetery?" He questioned me quite confused. He thought we were meeting Lily. "Come on. She's near." I bring him over to a Willow tree and sit down at her grave.

   I sit down crossing my legs right next her grave having Louis sitting next to me. Feeling a tear down my face I wipe them away, it's been so long since I last visited her.

"Hi Lily.. I told you I'd visit you soon."

"L-Lucy.. why didn't you tell me?.." he asked me rubbing my back. "I spent a long time pretending she was still around.. People change how they are when they find out you have a dead twin sister." I told him as I began to pull at the weeds beginning to surround her grave.
   "Luce, I would've understood. I would not have been rude about it if that's what you're implying." He pulled me to him kissing my head.

"I know.. it's hard for me to trust people. But Niall and Kristin brought up how if we are to survive this... we shouldn't have secrets." I paused as I felt tears fall down my face gently.
   "Lily should not be a secret. She doesn't deserve that."

"Wait.. Niall knew?" He said confused. I sighed, "Yes. When I first met all you guys Niall was over for Kristin, and he accidentally smashed a picture of us two.. so Kristin told him after I had a meltdown."
    He just nodded and kissed my head again. I turned my head towards the tree.

"Well Lily.. You've probably been watching everything that's been happening and getting mad at how stupid I've been.." I trailed off chuckling.
"But I'm here to inform you that everything is good right now.. we are working out our issues."

    I smiled, "I wanted you to meet someone really important to me." I put my arm around Louis's waist and smiled.

"This is Louis." The wind started to pick up and make the branches of the tree sway. I chuckled, "You're probably laughing your ass off right now.
    You always said I'd find my Prince Charming.. and joked saying Louis and I will get married." I heard Louis chuckle to himself and pull me closer.

"And I know you're probably saying that he better not hurt me or anything.."

"But.. I was the one who hurt him. I am thankful that I get a second chance. Louis means so much to me.."
   I was about to continue, but Louis spoke up. "Hello Lily, it's very nice to meet you." He spoke, right after the wind started to pick up again.

   He chuckled, "What I did in reaction was no better. And she hurt me.. but this is a new start I promise. I will protect her no matter what, She snuck up on me, I didn't even see it coming."

I smiled and kissed his cheek.

"Lucy is the only one that my eyes see, nothing will ever change that." He finished off.

"I hope you continue watching over us Lily. I love you so much, I'll visit again I promise." I said standing up.
    Louis stood up as well and I started walking away with him following a few minutes later. Walking out of the cemetery I grabbed Louis's hand again and started crying.

"Oh Love, It's gonna be okay I promise." He said hugging me.

"Thank you Louis.. I know it will be." I hugged him back and we continued walking back to the hotel.

"So Lucy.. the mates and I are gonna have to leave to continue the tour tomorrow." He said with sorrow in his voice as we walked up to the room.

"Oh.." I let go of his hand and was about to open the door when he grabbed my hand and spun me around.

"Lucy. Me leaving doesn't change anything, I swear. You're still my girl, and I will not let you go again. We will talk everyday I promise.. i will be back before you know it." He said holding me close.
    I hugged him back tightly saying nothing before walking in the room holding his hand.

"Hey! Look who's back! You two made up now?" Zayn said laughing.I nodded and sat on the couch with Louis next to me.

"Well that's good. It's about Damn time." Niall said.

I chuckled, "Indeed."

"So.. you met Lily?" Kristin asked eating yogurt. Louis nodded, "Yes I did, she was just as lovely I'd thought she'd be."

Kristin responses, "Well that's good! We knew you'd like her."I smiled at there conversation. That they were all making an effort to keep the memory of Lily alive.

I hugged Louis and he kissed my head.

"Hey Louis can we talk?" Harry spoke up walking into the room.

"Uh.. of course Harry." Louis said standing up.

HARRY

I walked into the room seeing everyone sitting there. Including Louis and Lucy.

"Hey Louis can we talk?" I asked him.

"Uh.. of course Harry." He said standing up. We walked out into the hall. "So.." I started off scratching the back of my head.
   I continued on, "I'm sorry about my behavior, but I need you to promise me something."

"Yeah, anything."

   I could tell he was a bit confused on where this conversation was going. His face told me that he assumed there was nothing else to be said.
   "I need you to promise me you won't hurt Lucy again." I said flatly but sternly.

"I promise Harry. Seeing her in pain..it's too much." He responses crossing his arms.

"Good, because I don't want any of this mess to happen ever again. But again, I'm sorry for how I've been acting towards you."
   He nodded at me, "No need to apologize. I understand why you were the way you were. I was an asshole." Louis said.

"Okay cool. So.. mates again?" I stuck my hand out.
He laughed and pulled me into a hug, "Of course dude. Mates."

I hugged him back.

It feels great to have my best friend back. I just couldn't stand around and put up with how he was acting.
