Truth or Dare

The Storm

It all started with a simple game of  Truth or Dare. Me, my two best friends, and my girlfriend went to a park, one day after school. I don't mean the park with the playground and slides, but just a park with a huge field. It wasn't really special; it was just close to our houses. We went there sometimes after school, and today was like that.

First the game wasn't so bad; everyone chose truth and we were just telling each other who we liked and other secrets. Then I suggested we do more dares, so it'll be more interesting. Then everyone started choosing dare. Still, the dares weren't bad. Run around the field five times, or even just doing a weird dance.

When it was my turn, I chose dare too, of course. Then an unexpected storm came. The wind was howling and the gloomy clouds hovered over the field. The sky turned as black as a crow and I shivered.

"Guys? Did you check the weather?" One of my friends William asked.
"I did....it never said anything about a storm," Noah replied.

My girlfriend Nadia whispered, "Guys, I have a bad feeling," and she stepped back.
"It'll be alright babe," I hugged her tight and calmed her down. "Let's just go home," as I suggested, we heard a loud screech and turned around. A strange house had appeared.

"Was that.... there before?" Noah scratched his head.
"No.... I don't think so....," I replied nervously.

I saw William smirk.
"So Michael, since you still haven't gone, I dare you to go into that house," he yelled.

We all fell silent, and then Noah agreed.

"No! I am not going to do that!" I exclaimed, "it's a terrible weather and a horrible time to keep playing!" I argued.
"Well it's a dare, so you have to! Isn't that right Noah?" He looked at Noah wickedly, signalling him to say yes.
"Uh.... y, yes. Yeah! .... umm.... yeah Michael....," he muttered.

"FINE. But not THAT long alright? I'll just do a lap around the house and I'll be right back. You guys can start walking home if you want," I said annoyed.
"No thanks," William said, " we'll be right outside, waiting for you. Just in case you run away right after we leave,"  he smiled evilly.

I grunted and started walking towards the house. I thought he was my best friend! The windows were cracked and the house was staring down at me. It was terrifying. There were spiderwebs all over the house and I could just feel something terrible was going to happen.
I paused and shouted, " NO I will NOT do this!"

Then William teased, "what? Are you scared? You wanna cry?" I shook my head. " Then go inside!"
I sighed and walked to the house and turned the handle.
