*PHA POV*
I woke up very early. I got up,showered and got dressed. Today I am going to the hospital to see Ming.
"Damn Pha, it's still early"Beam said.
"It's not that early... their visiting hours start at 7am,it's already almost 10" I said.
"Leave him alone Beam, he's excited to see Ming" Forth commented.
"Yeah yeah.. do you want us to drop you off?"Beam asked.
"Nah it's okay. I'll take a cab. You guys coming later though?"I asked.
"Yeah... probably be there by noon time"Beam said as he looked at Forth.
"Okay.. that's all I need to know you sex fiend" I teased.
"Jealous?seriously Pha, you need to get laid"Beam said.
"Blah blah...I'm leaving"I said as I covered my ears and tried to ignore what Beam was saying.
The taxi finally came, I opened the door and got in. The hospital was 25 minutes away from Beam's dorm, thankfully there was no traffic.Once I arrived,I paid the driver,got my things and checked in at the front desk. Once I obtained a visitor's pass, I went to the floor where they had transferred Ming to.
I got off at the elevator and looked at the pass, it read room 3005. I walked fast until I reached the said room. The door was closed and the blinds on them were drawn. I grabbed the handle,turned it and opened the door slowly. I peeked in and saw him laying in bed,a nasal cannula on his nose. IV on one arm and a wound drain on his abdomen.
I entered the room slowly,trying not to make too much noise. I carried the chair and set it closer to his bed. I sat on it and reached over to hold his hand. As if on cue,he slowly opened his eyes,Ming had always been a light sleeper. I leaned towards him and held his hand tightly.
"P'Pha?"he called out to me.
"Hey... good morning sunshine"I started,as I smile but tears were forming in my eyes.
"Why are you crying P'?"he asked as he reached out and wiped away my tears.
"I was so scared MingKwan. I thought I lost you"I said, tears rolling down my cheeks.
"But you didn't.. I'm still here... you're stuck with me forever"he joked.
"You better not do anything reckless next time... I won't be able to take it if something bad happens to you" I said.
"Likewise P'. Can you give me some water?"he asked.
"You can't have anything yet, until the doctor clears you. Let me wet your lips with water"I explained as I then got the applicator,dipped it in water and swabbed his lips with it.
"A little better?" I asked.
"Yes P', though I'd rather has your lips on mine to make it better"he teased.
"Oh yeah, once you get discharged you can stay in my apartment until you're better so I can keep watch on you"I suggested.
"I like the sound of that P', that means I get to be with you 24/7" Ming said.
"You are always with me 24/7 though"I pointed out.
He laughs.
"I'm just gonna take a little nap P', I'm still a little sleepy from the pain meds they gave me"he said.
"Okay. Rest up" I said.
"You'll still be here when I wake up right?"he asks.
"Of course,silly... why do you think I have this big bag with me? I'm staying over tonight. So close your eyes,I'll be right here"I reassured him.
He smiles and nod before he closed his eyes and fell asleep. I felt happy and relieved that my lover is alive and well. I turned on the tv but placed it on a low volume so that Ming won't wake up.
Before I knew it,it was 12pm. Beam and Forth knocked on the door and I slowly opened it and went outside.
"You guys made it..and on time... did you guys bring food?Coz I am starving"I said.
"Yeah,we brought food"Forth said as he showed me the plastic full of food.
"Umm...also, there's someone else here to see you Pha"Beam said.
I raised my eyebrows in confusion, I then turned my head to the direction Beam was now looking to. There stood Kit.
"Kit?"I called out.
"Ai'Pha"he greeted.
I bit my lip, as I then ran up to him and hugged him.
"I'm sorry..I am so sorry Kit...I-"I started but he cut me off. He hugs me back tightly and rubs my back.
"Shhh... Hey, you don't need to apologize. I said some pretty hurtful things too. I'm sorry for being selfish as well. You had always sacrificed and did a lot of things for me and Beam. I want you to be happy Pha"he said.
"Thanks Kit, you have no idea how much we missed you..I missed you"I said.
"I miss you guys too"he replied.
"Group hug!" Beam yelled out and we all hugged it out.
"Please tone it down,this is a place of healing!" an older nurse warned them.
They froze and quiet down. They entered the room and woke Ming up.
"Ming, wake up"I said,slowly tapping his arm.
He slowly opens his eyes turned to greet us with a smile.
"Is that you P'Kit?"he asked.
"Who else would it be?"Kit said in his usual sarcastic tone.
"That means you guys made up... that's good.. I'm happy for you P'Pha.. and I'm sorry P'Kit. I was an asshole... please forgive me"he said.
"It's over and done with Ming. Just promise me you'll take good care of my best friend"Kit said.
"I will P', that is one promise I'll never ever break or get tired of keeping"Ming answered.
"Because if you do, I'll kick your ass"Kit warned.
We all just laughed , Kit can be really feisty but I'm glad I have my best friend back. I feel like everything is going back to normal. I cam finally breath and look forward to the upcoming days of love and happiness.
