Dark stood before his brother. It was almost like looking in a mirror that showed the opposite of you. "Well hello there." He said in a mocking tone. He knew his brother was full of worry. It reflected in his eyes.

"What do you want? I'm busy, a spirit has gone missing." Astral said sounding annoyed. He was use to his brother trying to play games with him.

"Oh the little fox? A friend of yours if I'm not mistaken." Dark smirked at his brother. "I know where he is, but what will you give up to save him?"

A look of fear crossed Astral's face. "What did you do to him?" He asked immediately concerned for the safety of the fox spirit.

"Oh nothing, my friend however... has the boy wrapped around his finger. That's the thing about spirits like us brother. Once you know what to do they become loyal to a fault." Dark handed his brother a picture of the fox spirit that had been charmed.

"Let him go, he is a gate keeper brother he has a job to do. And I will fight you for his release." Astral was beginning to become annoyed. He felt anger in him his brother was using his friend in his game.

"Not so fast now dear brother, one wrong move and we reigger that charm around his neck and he becomes corrupted. And you know what happened to corrupted spirits." Dark dared his brother to finish the statement with a mischievous look.

"They...they are killed. Fine what do you want for his release?" Astral took a deep breath, he had to tread carefully he couldn't risk anything happening to Yuma.

"Come to the address on the back of that picture tonight. If you can beat my friend in a battle then we will release him. If not well you don't want to know." Dark said before vanishing into the shadows, the bait had be laid out now he had to spring the trap. A gate keeper and a spirit knight. One step closer to getting the ruler of the heavenly spirits to yeild.

"Has it been done?" Vector asked eyes glowing in the darkened room.

"Of course, and the spirit?"

"The pendant is set to trigger at midnight, he will be one of us soon enough." Vector chuckled to himself. His plan was working perfectly.

Astral stood outside the doors of the building. He knew this could be a trap, but he had to save his friend. Heavens know he has been through enough. A vision of golden flame cross his eyes, he wouldn't let Yuma get hurt again. He promised himself that.

"Welcome, you must be Astral." Vector said stepping out the doors.

"And you must be Dark's partner in this scheme. Where is Yuma? I want to know he is safe before anything." Astral demanded a stern tone in his voice.

Vector grinned carefully uncovering the sleeping fox in his arms. "See safe as can be. Now let us begin our game. Beat me in battle before the midnight bell rings and you can have him back. If not, well that's a surprise." Vector handed the fox to Dark who quickly vanished. He then drew his weapon a cursed blade from long ago.

Astral readied himself, though he did have a blessed dagger he relied on his magical capabilities over physical combat. Something he saw lucky as the demon before him preferred a blade. "Then let our battle begin."
