Magic makes chaos

The beginning of the end part 1.

A/N: so since the next chapter has a lot going on it will be split into two parts. The specific triggers in this part are

Hive mind

Child getting hypnotized

And sexual tension.

On the way back to the Arclight residence the group had met back up with shark. After explaining what was going on it was decided to try and keep any spirits any of them knew personally in groups. Everything going on seemed to be targetting spirits that were weaker willed or left alone.

When they had returned Kaito and shark went to check on Yuma, and much like Trey the boys eyes were now black in color and he seemed to be unresponsive. That however was not the most concerning thing. Yuma had moved to be standing by the window gazing out to the city and on the bed laid Kaito's little brother who was completely out of it no matter what they tried to do.

"It's definitely magic influence." Quinton said examining Hart. "From what I can not say. However it is obvious someone is trying to keep Hart quiet about something."

Kaito bit his lip he was concerned for his little brother. Something just was not right, something big was going to happen soon. None of the recent events could be a coincidence.

The door to the room slowly opened and Trey entered the room. He seemed very dazed as if he was being lead by a unseen force.

"Trey, go back to your room. You need to rest until whatever this is wears off." Quinton said carefully grabbing his arm to lead him back to his room. Before they could reach the door a ball of fire hit the older spirit. Clutching his shoulder in pain Quinton turned to face the fox spirit.

"We can not allow that, he wants us all present." A voice not quite fitting the fox spirit said. It sounded like a mix of both Zexal's and Yuma's.

"Who wants you present? Does this have to do with the pendant?" Kaito asked hoping to get answers from him while Quattro took care of Quinton's shoulder.

This time it was Trey who spoke his voice void of any emotion. "The leader wants us present. He created the pendant to collect his servants."

Kaito heard Quattro growl. "Well I got a message for this leader! He better let my brother go!" The wolf spirit shouted.

"He will release him when his use runs out. But for now he is needed for our leaders plan." The fox spirit took Trey by the hand and before anyone could act took him through a gate way.

"This is not good... someone is trying to build a army of spirits. We need to find out who." Kaito said quietly.

"Maybe whoever it is was the one who used magic on Hart? Maybe he saw who it was and they wanted to keep him quiet." Quinton suggested still in pain from the burn he received.

"If that's the case we need to figure out how to remove the effect of the magic on Hart quickly." Kaito looked at his brother. He was angry he promised to protect him and he failed. He felt a hand on his shoulder he turned to see Quinton looking down at him.

"Don't worry, we can help him." Quinton reassured.

Meanwhile with the two controlled spirits the so called leader has given them instructions. He gave each boy a pendant and gave them a specific target to join their group.

Trey made his way through old ruins he was looking for a certain spirit, a guardian created when a warriors soul refused to die. His eyes landed on the brown haired spirit seeming to be training. He was the protect the innocent kind of person. Smirking to himself Trey made his move.

"Excuse me? Could you help me I believe I've gotten lost." He said feigning innocence in his voice.

The other stopped what he was doing and turned to Trey. "Oh, sure you don't see many people in these ruins. Let alone spirits...did you come here looking for something?"

Trey giggled. "Oh no, I'm just a huge fan of history, and since spirits don't have to worry too much I like to explore ruins. I just got a bit turned around."

The other spirit looked a bit skeptical. "I see. Well I'll show you the way out, I'm Alito by the way and you are?"

"You can call me Trey." The pink haired boy smiled walking beside him. "You're really cute you know."

Alito stiffened up usually he wouldn't mind a cute spirit flirting with him but something about this one seemed off. "Oh uh thanks. You're pretty cute yourself." He watched as the other spirit grinned. It was unnerving as if he was a animal watching its prey. A shiver ran through him as the other grabbed his arm.

"You're so strong too, I saw you training is that all you do? Surely you must have...other past times?" The rabbit spirit's tone reaching quite suggestive connotations had the warrior very unnerved.

"W..well I was a gladiator when I was human, when I died my soul couldn't move on so I became a protective spirit. I like to keep my strength up incase I need to protect someone." Alito picked up the pace wanting to get rid of this other spirit as soon as he could.

"Are you getting nervous? Your face is red and your body is tense. Do I make you uncomfortable?" Trey asked tilting his head in confusion.

"A bit admittedly, you're coming on a bit strong here." Alito said looking ahead not meeting the others eyes. Eventually they reached the entrance of the ruins. "Here we are. Please be careful next time you decide to go exploring."

Trey smiled brightly. "Thank you so much! Here take this as a token of my thanks." He held out the pendant he had in his pocket.

"Oh no I can't take that it looks valuable." Alito declined.

"I have no need for it, plus it would suit you much better. Please take it." Trey insisted.

Alito didn't feel like arguing, and he wanted the strange spirit gone so reluctantly he took the pendant. The minute his fingers touched the gem he felt a surge of strange magic flow through him. A soft buzzing filled his head and soon he couldn't think of anything. Well he could think of one thing. 'I must obey the leader.'

A/N 2: well here is the first part of the chapter. And if you cant tell Yes this book will be ending soon, do not worry however as there will be a second one. Also who can guess who the leader is?
