Third Person's POV

Coulson swipes his lanyard across a keypad that locked a room. But not just any room. Agent Leo Fitz's hospital room. Fitz is still asleep in the coma and Coulson quickly directs Simmons to the door of a room with a big, tinted window. Coulson and Simmons sit down behind the window watching Fitz sleep peacefully. "What do you need to show me sir?" Simmons asks "Sorry just give me a minute." Coulson says as he gets up to grab Fitz's medical file. A couple of minutes pass and Fitz is just sitting there, motionless. Simmons looks as though she would leap through the window just so she could be beside him. Coulson turns to look at Simmons and he sees tears spilling down the young agent's face.

What Coulson has to tell her next will break her apart. "Simmons the reason why I brought you here is because..." Coulson's voice trailed off, he couldn't finish what he had to say. So Simmons being smart knew what he was trying to say, so she continued for him. "Fitz has brain damage, or more specifically cerebral hypoxia." Her thick, British voice cracks and tears well up in her eyes. "Coulson can't you do anything?! S.H.I.E.L.D. must have something that can help him!" Simmons says, anger flashing in her eyes. "Simmons, you and I both know that ever since HYDRA infiltrated S.H.I.E.L.D. we don't have everything we had before, they destroyed most of our projects." Once Coulson finishes talking there is silence. As he gets up and is leaving through a back door Simmons looks up at him. And she says with a determined look, "I will find something to help Fitz, I have to."
