Staring blankly as I return to my car, I wonder what would of happened if I
had just viewed the body, maybe I would've got some closure, but I think I know myself a little better then to believe I would. I don't say a word to Mason as I start driving, but he doesn't say anything to me either, probably assuming I don't want to talk. I do though, I want to get this all of my chest, and just move forward, but I can't seem to mutter up the strength to do so."You alright doll?" Mason says as we pull into a gas station.
"I'm fine" I say as I get out, leaving him in the car to either follow, or stay put.
"You don't seem like your fine" he says apparently choosing the first option.
"I am though, just really tired" I say with a fake smile plastered on my face.
"Okay"
"I have to go somewhere for a few minutes, but you could come if you'd like, or I could drop you off, whatever works for you"
"You can drop me off"
"Alright that's fine"
"Is it alright if my sister comes over? Her and my brother are the only two I talk to, and she wanted to come see me"
" uhm yeah, yeah that's fine"
"Great! thanks bec, you've been really cool"
"Its nothing Mason, just lock up if you leave"
"We're not, but noted"
The drive to my house seemed longer then usual, but I welcomed it because it was rather peaceful. After I drop Mason off, I'm gonna get a hair cut, and then head to SNL to grab the little bit of things that are actually mine. The nearest salon is about 10 minutes away from me so, I quickly type the address into my GPS, and make my way there. As I pull into the lot my phone starts buzzing letting me know someone's calling.
"Hello?"
"Hey X, where are the coffee filters, I'm trying to make some sort of make shift screen for my bowl"
"Mason I don't think coffee filters would work, they're paper so, wouldn't they just burn with your weed"
"Ahhhh don't say that over the phone, someone's always listening"
"Oh jesus, look don't use paper, I have tin foil in the cabinet above the microwave, please try not to burn my house down"
"Yeah, yeah, I make no promises" and with that he hangs up.
I walk into the salon, and sit with the other people waiting to get their hair cut. There's not many so, I should be out of here soon. As I flip though some old magazines, I find a really old emo style that catches my eye, and rip it out deciding I wanted that cut, I think I'm gonna die it black, with some sort of color highlight. I've never been adventurous with my hair, and for once I want to try something different, and this is indeed different.
"We can take you over here" the large short haired lady says pulling me from my thoughts.
I walk up and sit in the seat she told me to, and she immediately starts spraying water on it.
"What would you like done today?" She says chewing on her gum loudly.
"Uh I want this cut, but I want it dyed black, with some sort of colored highlight."
"Can I make a suggestion?"
"Of course"
"Well if you're doing black, I'd go with a colored low light to match the gothic aesthetic I'm assuming your going for"
