Never be yourself, or flirt with Kyoya's sister, That's, like, common sense

Are you guys proud of me? I updated within 2 months. Go me.

Also I was reading through the last part of my chapter and realised I wrote "that that" - dw it's not wrong. But the fact that it is grammatically correct never ceases to amaze me. Like what is wrong with the English language? Everything. It is a collection of rules that apply to 2 words then the rest are exceptions.

Lowkey feeling like my story is getting boring and repetitive. ("No, Author-chan! We love you, Author-chan!)

"UGGGGGHHHHH, I give up!" I said, letting the couch swallow me.

"Okay, you know what, why don't you try one more time. If you don't succeed, I will personally quit hitting on Haruhi until you get with Kyoya." Something seemed off about the offer Tamaki was giving me but anything to get out of here. "Why don't you try talking to that lady over there?" He nodded towards a petite lady with straight black hair, quietly sitting there, staring out of the window.

"We have a deal," I say shaking Tamaki's hand firmly and heading towards my goal.

Little did I know that that lady wasn't a stranger, but that for once, Tamaki actually used his brain to make an elaborate plan that both gave me an advantage and screwed me over.

First Person Point Of View:-

"Right, so I think the best strategy here is to be like yourself - act natural! The ladies love that ~" Tamaki said, while FREAKING SPARKLING?? SOMEHOW???

"bE yOuRsElF!" I mocked "What kinda bull is that?? If that were true, don't you think Haruhi would've liked your pretentious self by now?"  I scoffed.

"Hey, now! No need to rub salt in the wound!" He went teary eyed. "Just go!" He pushed me towards the pretty lady.

Looking back at him one last time, before going towards her table and coughing to make her away of my presence - like in every cringy anime. She looked in my direction, surprised, and asked "May I help you?"

"Oh, I just saw you sitting alone and thought you might want some company... if you wanted to, of course, I don't want to disturb you, especially if you're waiting for someone like a date or something." As you can see, I started off well, then spiraled into my rant of insanity.

"Oh, no, it's fine! Please take a seat!" The lady welcomed me, which shut me up pretty quick.

"Thank you..." I said, still feeling the awkward energy around me. "Um, what's someone as pretty as yourself doing all alone at a cafe like this?" I took a risk saying this and almost had another freakout until I heard her giggle, which finally boosted my confidence.

"I like coming here to relax. It's a really peaceful atmosphere for people-watching. You can see all kinds of interactions here - a first date, reunions of friends - it's fascinating really, and it warms my heart," she drifted off again, eyes still fixated on an invisible fourth dimension I still can't see. "What about you? What brings you here?"

"Oh, I live somewhat close to here, and this is a goldmine of underappreciated places, so I just came to grab a coffee, meet some people, you know," I answered, only partially lying.

She nodded along and we chatted for a while talking about everything from social dynamics to movies to books to school; and by the end of it, I was a shining source of charisma if I were to say so myself.
