"Ugh, they're staring at us again

"Ugh, they're staring at us again." The boy groaned again, rolling his eyes for the 10th time. His lips were pressed in a thin line as a growl escaped them— his hand subconsciously gravitated towards his natural brown locks, playing with the ends.

A girl from across the table hissed under her breathe, making a tch sound with her canines. "Just ignore them Loki, if they wanna start a pack war fine by me."

"But they-"

"If they have a problem, they'll face me." The girl silenced Loki, her piercing glare and sharp tone causing the boy to tense up and avoid his gaze from his superior. Yuu was always making sure we knew her authority. She had a tendency to lash out on people for absolutely no reason and thinks she's all high and mighty purely because she is the Alpha female of our pack.

In summary all you need to know about her is she's an asshole and no one likes her but everyone's too chicken to speak up about it.

"Yes, Alpha." He squeaked, picking up his juice box from his brown bag and sucked some liquid from the plastic straw.

Meanwhile, I usually toned out the disagreements or more so the "commotion" from the pack. There were always issues with something, big or small and being one of the "well known" packs in the school, you had other smaller packs trying to pick a fight every chance they got.

If you've been here long enough as I have, trust me it gets old fast.

Sometimes I question why I even joined a pack in the first place. I never really took to large groups— you could say I'm more of a lone wolf kind of gal plus in societies eyes, I was a dispersal anyways. A nobody that shouldn't be around those who have it successful, but I guess things change and the saying things get better really did apply to my life.

But is this for the better?

While eating my lunch, my eyes drifted to the far end of the cafeteria, otherwise known as the South side. Or as the werewolves call it, blood sucker territory.
This high school was created to endorse equality between werewolves and vampires and end the conflict, some idea that was.

Nothing has changed.

The school is split into two sections, one section for vampire classes and the other for werewolf classes. There were mean't to be mixed classes but because of some minor complications the separate classes were arranged. Now they call the vampire side, the South side and the werewolf side, the North side. Neither beings cross each other's territories, it's just the code at this point.

"...Are you even listening?" A voice knocked me out of my thoughts. Gazing up, I was met with the infamous black haired Alpha male. If you thought Yuu was bad, her boyfriend is worse. He's the reason she acts stuck up in the first place and everyone can see that— no one has the courage to say anything though so we just sit and silently suffer the wrath of the two demon Alphas.

"Mhm." I hum, taking a swig of whatever was on my lunch tray. I tried to avoid eye contact with Aiden—attempting to pay attention to the details of the cafeterias grimy walls or the passing vampires on the South Side.

"Then what did I just say," He rose his brow. "Hm?"

"Dunno."

"Is that anyway to speak to your Alpha?" I could feel his eyes practically burning my face. I moved my gaze to look at him directly in the eyes. If I wasn't such a hypocrite, I would have just shut up and let whatever unfold but of course I'm not the type of person to stay quiet about someone's bad attitude, Alpha or not.

"If you were a good Alpha maybe I would know, so please ALPHA educate me."

Now his eyes were wide.

Guess he didn't expect someone to talk back to him.

"What did you say?" His face was practically boiling with rage, his fists clenched in a tight ball while his teeth gritted against one another.

"I said you suck ass at your job. Let someone else who actually cares about people's wellbeing lead-"

Slam!

The lunch tray that was sitting in front of him flew across the floor making a loud clunking sound— the trays substances scattered around the floor. Now everyone's eyes were on the table, both werewolves and vampires were watching in anticipation as the scene unfolds.

"I am YOUR Alpha—" He slams his fist onto the edge of the lunch table making a loud thud noise causing more eyes to look this way.

"You address ME as your superior! I gave you a place to belong, because of me your idolized— respected. Without me, you would be some random omega who's only place they belong is in the trash!"

The next thing I know, my fist is flying straight in the direction of his face. It felt like a switch went off in my brain. The two option were clear, fight or flight.

And I was sure as hell wasn't running away.
