Chapter 6 proving Undyne who I am

Brody's POV

After spending some time with Napstablook by listening to his tunes, laying down and eating......kinda. I waved him goodbye and decided to continue on my way. I decided to check my menu when I see an option named 'Soul state' so I pressed it to see the blue form from before but it said that in order to use it outside of battle there were two conditions, be friends with Papyrus and be friends with sans, I only had the condition to be friend with Papyrus Hm I wonder if I'm missing something with Sans.

I soon find Gerson's store so I decided to go inside to see him "woah there! Does my eye deceive me? If it isn't prince Brody" Gerson said and I smile big "Hi Gerson!" I said happy "So the news from snowdin are true. Need to buy something?" He asked "Actually I wamted to ask you something. When Papyrus used his blue attack, I look different and not just that my stats changed" I said "Hmm it may be your starting to develop your magic" he said "My magic?" I asked "Yeah. I'm sure you know that it was humans that made the barrier with magic, they seem to have lost their magic affinity and this change of your soul may be your magic affinity" He explained and I nodded "I see" I said "Well anything else you need?" He asked "No that will be all thanks" I said smiling "I'll be waiting your next visit" he said and I nodded as I left.

It's been a long walking but it feels lonely but I can't help but feel uneasy its been a while since I've seen Undyne she must know I'm alive still. Anyway I soon arrived to a dead end due to how dark it started to get and I see a echo flower and listen "Behind you" it said and I gulp and looked behind me as some light shines and I see Undyne "Seven" she said "Seven human souls, with the power of seven human souls, our king. King Asgore Dreemurr will become a god" she said "This is your only chance to reedem yourself from your lies human. Give up your soul and drop the act or I'll tear it from your lifeless body" she said as she summons her spear and charges at me ready to battle when MK jumped out of the grass making her stop "Yo! You found her Brody! Great job!" MK said then look at us "Wait are you fighting?" He asks confused and Undyne grabs him dragging him away 'This is your chance to get to hotland' Arsene said and I nodded proceding foward.

I soon walked across a bridge and MK caught up to me "Yo.....Undyne said you're pretending to be Brody" he said "But I don't believe her" he said "Huh?" I asked confused "The way you act and the fact you been dead for so long what current human would know how to be you? I trust you" he said making me smile "Thanks" I said "That's....all I wanted to say I'll go home" he said walking away when he tripped and almost fell off the bridge only clinging by his teeth "W-wait! MBrody! Help!" He said and Undyne appeared but I didn't care I just rushed in and pull MK back on the bridge "Are you okay?" I ask and he nodded "Thanks to you!" He said standing up and looks at Undyne "If.... if Y-You wanna hurt my friend.....the prince....You're gonna have to get through me, first" he said shocking me and Undyne, I could feel glaring at me in amger but she left anyway "She's gone" he said and walked over and rested his head on my shoulder simulating a hug and I hugged him "Good luck....I really need to go home" he said as he walked away and I moved foward.

Now I was at the entrance of a cavern that takes to hotland and Undyne was at the top of it "You know.......I would tell you the tale of our people but you know what?" She asked "SCREW IT! I'm sick and tired of your stupid insult to our fallen prince!" She said "I'm done chasing you! I'll kill you and I'll do it now!" She said "NGAAAAAAHHHHHH!" She said taking off her helmet showing her face "I thought humans were cool. With Alphys books aout giant robots and flowery swordswomen." She said "But you?! I'm tired of you. You may have fool everyone that you are our dead prince but not ME! No matter how many monster you act nice with I'm not impressed!" She yelled jumping down as the fight started.

She turned my soul green and like with the blue soul it gave me green clothing as well as a shield? "En guarde!" She said 'Arsene what do I do?' I asked him 'Blow off some steam' he said 'What?' I asked 'get her to blow off some steam' he said gesturing behind her hotland....t's really hot and for a fish monster wearing an armor that's gotta calm her 'Yeah but she will attack me' I said 'You got that shield' he said 'Yeah' I said looking at the round shield it was green like the rest of this state but it also had a weird flower pattern don't know why a rose. I never seen a rose before but regardless seems I can move just fine and my stats changed, my defense is really high but I'm slower than before but regardless I pressed flee and I started to run past her "Hey!" She said throwing spears at me but I blocked them with the shield and kept running I was slower but due to her armor she's not gonna catch me that much faster, I soon hear my phone ring amd I pick it up "Hey what's up?" Papyrus asked "Papyrus now's not the time" I said while running "I was just thinking....You, Me and Undyne should all hang out sometime" He said "I think you would make great pals! See you at her house" he said hanging and I kept running. Soon I made it to hotland and cross the bridge and stop as I see Undyne getting slow "armor.....so....hot" She said "But I can't.....give up" she said as she fainted.

I look over seeing a water cooler and get a cup of water and I go and pour it on Undyne and she woke up and stands up looking at me in shock then her face turns into.....regret? And she left.....I walked over and go to where the river person is 'Not gonna leave things unsolved huh?' Arsene asked 'Nope' I said.

*Back at waterfall*

After Papyrus gets us to hang out with Undyne and a....escape by the window Undyne and I are aloneshe just tells me to sit and I do as she takes things out to eat "All set....! What would you like?" She asked as I was gonna stand up when she threw a spear at the tabel "Hey! You don't have to stand up Prince!" Undyne said as I sit worried "um use the spear to point what you want" Undyne said and I grab the spear and point at the tea "tea huh? Coming right up" She said as she prepared it and when she finish she gave it to me "It's a bit hot" She said and I waoted "It's not THAT hot! Just drink it already!" She said and I nodded takig a sip it burns but it's pretty good "You know it's strange you chose that tea" She said "Golden flower tea..." she said "Dad's favorite" I said and she sighs "You really are the prince" She said facepalming "I god I almost bring your dead body to Asgore" She said regretful "H-hey it's okay" I said smiling "How can it be okay?! I tried to kill you!" She said "But you didn't" I said and she looked suprised "You did stop. And you look like you regret it so no hard feelings" I said and she chuckles "God you are just like him" Undyne said "Yeah?" I asked "kinda....you know, I was a pretty hotheaded kid" Undyne said "Once, to prove I was the strongest, I tried to fight Asgore" She said "Emphasis on Tried. I couldn't land a single blow on him!" She said "And worse, the whole time he refused to fight" she said "After he apologized and said something goofy" She said "Excuse me do you want to know how to beat me?' I said and from then on, he started training me" she said "One day, during practice I finally knocked him down" Undyne said "I felt bad.....but he was beaming. I had never seen someond more proud to get their butt kicked" She said and I chuckle "Anyway, long story short he kept training me and now I'm head of the royal guard! So I'm the one who gets to train dorks to fight....like uh Papyrus" Undyne said ".....I'll be blunt with you, I don't think I can ever let Papyrus in the royal guard" She said "Huh? Why not?" I asked "Don't get me wrong he's strong and a good fighter but he's a even bigger softie" she said "I mean I know you are the prince but I have no doubts that Papyrus wouldn't kill any human" she said "I can't send him on a battle...that's why I've been teaching him to cook" she said "Wait....Papyrus....cooking lesson" Undyne said "He was supposed to have that right now!!" She said "And if HE's not here to have it....you'll have to have it for him!!" Undyne said as she grabbed me and we landed on the kitchen as she set me down and put the ingredients to make spaghetti...well I tried to cook calmly but Undyne was more....excited and made a lot of mess and ended burning the house "Man no wonder Papyrus sucks at cooking" Undyne said "Come on let's get out" she said drags me out of the house "Well I guess I'll be crashing with Sans and Papyrus for a while. Hey we are okay now Prince Brody" Undyne said petting me "When you need something just give a call to Papyrus I'll be there anyway" She said and I nodded as she left smiling.

I walked to the save point before I go back to Hotland.
