Perseus, one of the greatest heroes in Greek mythology. The child of Danae and Zeus.
How did Perseus's life start? Well, it started because of a prophecy!
So before Persues is born Acrisius, king of Argos. Goes to see one of Apollo's oracles and hears that his daughter, Danae, would give birth to a son that would kill him. Not wanting to die Arcisius goes home and throws Danae into a underground chamber where she will die of starvation and never get pregnant. Why, he did not just kill her and blame it on someone else I do not know. But then Zeus, god of wind and lightning or one night stands, sees Danae in her prison he turns into a shower of gold rain to get through the small crack in her prison and gets her pregnant? So gold showers equal pregnant, good to know. That's probably not true but in this myth it is!
But Danae's father comes and checks on her progress of dying and sees that she has a baby boy in her hands. Not wanting to die he locks up Persues and Danae in a wooden chest and throws them into the sea. Then somehow the chest got to Seriphos and was picked up be a fisherman that freed Danae and her son and offered them a place to stay. So then Persues grows up into a strong man.
Then the ruler of Seriphos, Polydectes, sees Danae and falls in love with her. After trying to get her to fall in love with him Danae says no and Polydectes comes up with a plan that should work to get Danae to fall in love with him. The plan is to get get rid of Persues. I would probably not go with that plan but it's whatever. So he calls up Persues to do a quest saying that he has to kill Medusa and bring back her head, fully aware that no one has come back from facing Medusa alive because you know, the whole stone thing.
Persues had been traveling to Medusa for awhile and then was stopped one day because of Hermes and Athena. They gift Persues with winged sandals from Hermes. Also Athena gives him a shield because you won't turn into stone if you look at Medusa's reflection. Then they explain that if Persues wants to find Medusa he has to go to the Graeae to ask for directions.
The Graea were found and Perseus took there eye so then they were forced to give him directions. That probably dosent make sense but the Graea have to share one eye so, yeah.
Perseus let's directions and in the way there he got an invisibility helmet from either Hades or Athena and he might have gotten a sword from his dad Zeus. He also might have gotten the invisibility helmet from Hera's garden. He might have also been gifted a bag or was already carrying one since the beginning of the quest. Now he enters Medusa's cave. Some people might expect a big fight but no. Perseus sneaks in while Medusa is asleep and cuts of her head while only looking at the reflection from the shield. Then Pegasus and his not very well known brother Chrysaor pop out of Medusa's head when she dies. Medusa's head was then put into a bag because you can still become stone if you look at her head.
On the way back Persues sees a beautiful women changed to a rock next to the see. He asked her why she was chained to a rock and she says her name is Andromeda and she was a princess. Her parents decided to sacrifice her to Cetus, a giant sea monster, because they pissed of Poseidon or they just decided to sacrifice her. So when Cetus shows up Persues kills it and Andromeda is free. Also they get married later.
When Persues let's back home he kills the king by showing him Medusa's head. Also Andromeda and him have a few kids.
Oh, but what about the prophecy? Well later on Persues throw a discus and accidentally hits Arcisius in the head killing him.

The end.
