At midnight, Y/n was still sleepless. Her back was resting straight on the soft white futon of her chamber whilst her eyes were gazing at the dark wooden ceiling.
She was restless, y/n rolled her body to face the left and tuck the soft blanket near on her chest. She sighed and firmly closed her eyes, trying to put herself into asleep.
She breathes and pouted defeatedly. The court lady pulled herself to sit upright and instantly, her eyes stared directly at the aflame small candlestick.
She looked on it and how it faintly emits light inside her dim chamber as she started to feel how unhappily alone she was. She suddenly felt uneasy, she thought that living on the unfamiliar foreign and spacious home of a stranger is quite very eccentric for her.
Y/n began to compare her own comfortable room back at the respected Mizuno compound. She misses the sole chamber she has grown so accustomed already and she prefers to be back home rather than being lock inside the new wide chamber of the Kibutsuji palace.
It has been the past week that the court lady has been long departed from her own clan and she cannot decline how she also misses her father and her older sister. The good ambience of the Mizuno compound was something for her that she was truly yearning to feel once again. She truly missed being at home and doing her training session with her trusted samurai guard, Taoshu.
Y/n melancholy sighed again. She slowly forced her knees to stand and walked straight to the shoji board. She carefully and silently opened ajar the sliding door and let her eyes peek outside.
She noticed there were no longer servants that were wandering inside the palace but she was certain there were assigned random samurai guards that could be possibly still awake and guarding the outside walls of the Kibutsuji palace.
Y/n took the incandescent lamp and made her way out inside her room as she slightly fixed her f/c satin kimono.
She leisurely walked with light footsteps. Her e/c eyes looked at from one fusuma and to another. She paused and frowned when she realized she was already taking no idea to where she supposed to spend her night for a moment.
She thought that the garden can be the best place for her to have alone time and despite that, she has already seen the beauty of that place, y/n could never still compare how it enticed her and she would like to visit it again.
She silently walked as she begins to suspire her breath and utterly get so disappointed on herself when she has discerned she have reached already the unfamiliar part and corridor of the Kibutsuji palace.
The long dark corridor made the young court lady gulped. With her hands shaking whilst she holds tight on the incandescent lamp, she breathes heavily and continues to walked carefully until through the distance, she was forced to pause.
On one of the huge chambers, she instantly caught a faint light from within the translucent paper screens. Y/n resumed to curiously walked towards the room with her eyes fixed staring on the faint yellow light.
