The quick light touch of the passing breeze consoles the grieving heart of Y/n. Her unsteady breaths catches on her throat whilst she flew her thumb to gently wipe the tears that have formed from the corner of her eyes.

With her bleary eyes, she looked beyond her sight. The leaves of the manicured trees were whispering to each other as the brush of the wind continue to sway them together and some slowly fell on the pebbled ground. The tall trees blocked the sun's ray from touching the fair skin of the Mizuno noble lady whilst she remain to melancholy reminisce the once honorable samurai man that had served and been loyal to her until to the extent of his life.

Her eyes continue to gather more tears. She emit a despondent sigh and bit her lower lip in dreariness. Remorse and shame advancing on her mind just as she thought of her mistake. She blames herself for not entirely stopping the baleful hands of Muzan from inflicting the samurai man and now that she have received the novel news that Taoshu was killed; no other than by her own fiancé. The hurt punctured her heart deeper and building another wound that she will never learn to forget until in the end.

She wiped the unwarranted tears again from her eyes yet still felt never marginally better. Y/n fell her gaze and looked at the piece of white paper on her both hands.

She let her fingers traced the esthetic calligraphy on the clean sheet until her eyes landed at the bottom part where Taoshu's name was written at the end of the sentence.

To the one and dearest lady whom I yearn to offer my heart until death arrives upon me. I loved you from the moment I met you and everyday since. No woman has ever caught my eye unlike how you do. I know I am proscribed to fall in love with you my lady, y/n. But what have long enough sprouted inside my heart is something I cannot conceal nor deny for ages. Perhaps I am being too ambitious for hoping to have someone like you in my arms, but what drives me to the bound is what my soul and my heart was telling me to do.

My lady, Y/n. I want to reveal and express my deep affection for you. Not a raging storm, a clever adversary or a threat from your father can stop me from reaching back to you. Even my memory loves you; it ask about your presence all the time. Then lately, every night I often dreamt about the two us.They say love doesn't always end well, a pitfall that will break me the moment I cross that bottomless ocean between you and me, but for the lady I love, I am willing to risk all that doubts, all that insecurities and endure the pain. I will face any of the trouble that will be thrown upon me. I will be deaf against the people that will oppose towards my love for you.

All I have ever desired is to let you escape from that cage of imprisonment and let you fly. All I wanted is the best for you.

Hiroshima, Taoshu.

After reading the first and final letter of the gallant samurai warrior, y/n found herself silently bursting into tears. The overflowing penitence and distress has fully taken her. She plunked down whilst her other hand covers her mouth from audibly mourning aloud. Y/n hugged the white paper closer to her chest with her own heart was remained instilled with sorrow and loss.

'I did not even have the chance to try and love you back, Taoshu.' She thought as tears shed down from her eyes and rolls down on her cheek until it drips on the paper sheet.

'All of your life, you have protected me that no man has able to love me as much as you do.'

"I was very blessed." She murmurs. She can already feel her throat contracting and burning as she cries.
