I laid my heart down,
Hoping you would pick it up.
I poured my soul out.
Every ounce, every cup.
My mind was once a blank space,
But, now, I'm focused on your face.
I could and I would never get enough of you.
Which is why I am just a fool.
I am a fool.
Just a fool.
Am I just a clown
With a jester hat as a crown?
Am I a joker colored
In a way that's uncultured?
Why do my romances make you giggle and laugh?
Why do you amuse me on others' behalf?
Still, I would and should never get enough of you.
Which is why I am just a fool.
I am a fool.
Just a fool.
I am a fool, and I am proud.
I'm like a ghoul on the prowl.
I am unlike anyone you have ever known.
So, I will continue to make a fool of myself.
If it makes you laugh, I'll put on a show.
