A new beginning

The man, who's name I learned was Severus Snape, told me to hold his arm. For a reason I did not know I did what he said in trust. When I held his arm it went all funny and then we were inside a small, dingy house. He informed me that it was where i'd be living now.

He then took a small bag out of a pocket in his cloak. He showed me to a small room with a bed and wardrobe in it. He put the bag on the floor and then looked at me, "Are you hungry?"

I shook my head, too scared to say anything. He showed me to the toilet and told me to use it so I did. He then put me to bed. I couldn't sleep that night, it was terrible. Everytime I started to drift off I'd see my mummy or daddy's lifeless body before my eyes.

The next morning, when I woke up I saw Mr Snape sitting on a chair. The chair hadn't been there last night so I gathered he'd brought it from another room. I sat up and smiled at him. he just looked at me. He told me to get dressed and come downstairs.

"I can't." I replied. Mother had always helped me. I could only do a little bit. He smirked before saying,"very funny. NOW GET DRESSED!"

Once he'd left I broke down in tears. Mother or father never shouted. Not once. Never. Mr Snape scared me when he shouted. I didn't like it one bit.

I was doing well with my clothes until I got to my top. I couldn't tell if it was the right way or not. If it was inside out how would I make it normal? Which way was the front? It was just pink. There was no picture showing the front.

I guessed and went downstairs. I found me Snape sitting at a rectangle  table madeof wood. Infront of him were 2 slices of toast but one had a bite out of it. There was another plate with 1 slice of toast on it. He nodded at it and told me to eat. As I munched on my dry, slightly burnt toast, Mr Snape never took his eyes off me. I decided to speak as little as possible when around mr Snape.

After breakfast, my speak as little as possibe policy was not broken easily.

Mr Snape started the 'conversation'  with;

"Miss your parents?"

So I replied,"yes." Obviously.

"Who was better mummy or daddy?"

"Both." I answered truthfully. What a stupid question!

"Why?"

I just shrugged my shoulders, not making eye contact. Seriously now... what was he getting at?

"I asked why. Now answer. You should respect me! If it weren't  for me you'd  be dead!" Mr Snape snapped. This had annoyed me very much. How dare he? He thinks he is so so great... he's  not. I hated him already and I had not even spent a whole day with this magical catastrophe.  I was sure my father wouldn't have liked this greasy haired man. Especially the way he spoke to me.

One time when we were out, a man told me to shut up and father had a duel with him because he was rude to me, his little witch.

I decided to speak my mind.

"No! I hate you! My father would have hated you and my mother would have told you not to be so rude you toad! Why did you take me away from my home? I hate you! You're a horrible man! Why were you even in my house? I hate you!"

He just stared at me in amazement before shouting, "Get out of my house! Your mother made a mistake! She was stupid! You are just like your father you lazy, arrogant, ungrateful, little swine!"

I did as he had said and walked out of the house into the big, dangerous world. At first I was excited about it . I played in a nearby field full pretty flowers. It also had 3 tall trees in it. I made leaves and flowers fly with my hands and lay on the soft grass watching the fluffy clouds play just as myself only in the sky. I watched as they slowly took different forms of things I could relate to like different objects or animals. My imagination wondered as they skimmed the blue sky. My mummy taught me how to make the flowers fly. She said she used to do it with a friend when she found out she was a witch. I wished it would always be like that, little did I know... life's  not a field of perfectly scattered flowers.
