Don't let go..

Chapter 7 - Aashi/Arjun

Arjun barely heard what Elina said. All he heard was Aashi being mentioned.

"I have to go home" he's exclaimed trying to push past Elina. But she didn't want him to leave yet, this was the perfect opportunity for her to finally get the man of her dreams. She wasn't going to give in without fighting.

"No Arjun it isn't safe for you to go home in this condition" she insisted pushing him back into the chair.

"But Aashi..." Arjun protested trying to push Elina away.

"Aashi will be fine. She is home and safe - you need to stay here for the night and sober up"

Arjun wanted to leave but he couldn't find the strength to keep fighting Elina. He felt dizzy and disoriented. She was probably right, how could he find his way back home in such intoxicated state? He would probably get lost or hurt trying. He lay back down into the chair and rested his head back. Elina took this opportunity to rest her head against his chest. She didn't feel any resistance and took this as a good sign. Arjun had drifted off into a deep sleep and had no idea that Elina was near him.

As the dim light shone through Elina's blinds, she opened her eyes and blinked a couple of times to clear her vision, it was raining outside. Arjun was lying beneath her exactly how he had rested the night before. Wow she had slept rested against him and it was the most comfortable sleep of her life. But she had to secure that he would be hers now. Picking up Arjun's phone he saw that there were about 10 missed calls from Aashi. She decided to return Aashi's calls and let her know where exactly her beloved husband was.

"Hello" Aashi woke up instantly to the ring of her phone. It was Arjun! But the hello that greeted her was definitely not his.

"Hello Aashi, good morning"

"Who are you? Where's Arjun?"

"It's me Elina, Arjun decided to spend the night at my place. He got a little too drunk unfortunately - but don't worry he's perfectly safe with me" Elina smirked to herself knowing how much this would hurt Aashi. Maybe finally she would leave him now.

Aashi remained silent unable to process what she was hearing - what did Elina mean he had spent the night? Had they? Would he do that to her? She didn't know what to think anymore. She hung up and grabbed her bag. She needed to get outside - she needed fresh air - she needed to drive away from all this!

She ran outside into the rain and got into her car. How could everything go so wrong like this? Why would Arjun do that to her? All she ever did was try to be the perfect wife for him! She even gave up her career to look after his home. And this was the than you she got - a husband who cheated!
