The alarm beeped as soon as he rested his head on the pillow. Was the night already over? He wanted to sleep longer and wake up with Aashi. He wanted to hold her and cuddle with her in bed like they used to but alas he had to rush to the company. He had been working hard the previous night because today he was to meet his investors and there was so time to waste as he was already behind schedule. He got ready as quietly as he could and watched Aashi for a couple of seconds, longing to join her under the warm covers.

"Good morning Elina, please get ready for the morning conference. I don't want there to be any delays with the start time" Arjun was on the way to work and his mind was buzzing with the stresses of what the day was to bring. He had a couple of the company's investors coming and he needed them to approve of the company's next projects. He needed to avoid the bankruptcy.

"Of course Arjun, everything is ready and the investors should be arriving soon." Elina said smiling to herself knowing he was on the way to work.

He parked his car and dashed into the elevator. He shuffle around impatiently as the elevator carried him up to the 8th floor. He didn't want to be even a second late to meet the investors. Elina stood at the conference room door with a coffee all ready for Arjun.

"You're such a life saver!" Arjun said grabbing the cup off her and heading into the room. She followed eagerly. She felt something bigger than just being his employee or friend. She couldn't pin point it but they vibed so well and she hoped something more would come. She knew he was married but obviously that marriage wasn't working out - how could it when Arjun was at work all day with her?

A couple of hours later Arjun watched as his investors walked out looking satisfied. He was pleased with the presentation and hoped they would agree to provide funding.

"Job well done boss" Elina said peering up at Arjun in awe. He always managed to make a good impression on investors! It was the competition that was getting in the way of their companies success now.

"Thanks, we have to prepare the accounts department for the annual report" he said without wasting too much time lamenting on the fact that he may have done well just now.

Aashi followed him eagerly trying to maintain a close proximity. He knew she was walking extremely close but didn't take it too seriously, they were good friends!
