Back Together or Lost Forever?

------------------- Shirley's POV -----------------------

If butterflies have ever been in my stomach, they're in it now. Even though me and Serenity had been practicing for months, but ya know, who doesn't get nervous when your about to preform on live television?

I  started my warm up's once Serenity told me we were next. We're singing, "Story Of My Life", and Serenity would be playing her guitar.

Someone walked towards us, smiling at us an giving us a thumbs up. He said, " Alright loves, your up."

 Serenity walked onto the stage, and before her was the famous Simon Cowell. 

"Take it away."

Serenity started playing, and Simon looked surprised.

"Oh! So the girl plays."

Then, on cue, I walk onto the stage and started the first line.

The crowd cheered as I started to sing

Written on these walls are the stories that I can't explain

I leave my heart open

But it stays right here empty for days

She told me in the morning

She don't feel the same about us in her bones

It seems to me that when I die

These words will be written on my stone

Simon stopped us there. 

"That's enough girls. You can stop now."

----------Serenity's POV------------

I heard him say those words, and I got so scared. I stumbled with my guitar, and my pic dropped to the floor. The crowd gasped. Then, Simon laughed.

"You girls are incredible! I have never seen such a musically talented set of twins! Now if you don't mind, introduce yourselves."

"I'm Serenity Atkins,", I said, " I'm 17, and I play the guitar and piano. I also write songs."

"Wow love,"Simon said, "Can you sing us a bit?"

"Sure!" I chirped, "This ones called, "Not As Strong"

I looked at Shirley, and she looked back confidently. She luckily knew the song.

I sung

You told me that you'd be back

But sometimes the sail changes

And takes you on a different course

Shirley joined me 

When you were around

I was soooo high up in the clouds

Never falling 

Never afraid to look down down down

(Together)

When you fell beside me

I never had the fear to look behind me (Oh behind Me)

I'm not as strong (I'm struggling without you)

You built me up

Kept me stable 

Kept me tough

Shirley:

Ohhhh but now that your gone gone gone....

Me: 

I'm just.. Not as strong.
