I walked in the door of my home with blush floating across my cheeks. My glee was so evident that it seemed to bounce of the walls.

"You seem happy," Jenna said while standing in the kitchen, "Who's the lucky fella?"

"Jenna you're sixth sense kills me. His name is Damon," I giggled.

Jenna made her way over and wrapped her arms around me, "You deserved this,
(Y/n). You've been through so much. You deserve to be happy." Jenna then let out a sigh, "Sorry to ruin this moment for you, but can you check on your sister, apparently something happened with Stefan."

"I'll check on her, Jenna," I said. I gave her a peck on the cheek and made my way upstairs to my sisters room. As I made my way up the steps I mentally prepared myself to confront Elena and then leave to go beat the shit out of Stefan. I wonder what Damon would think about me beating up his brother...

"Elena..." I said softly as I stepped into the room. She was sitting on her bed with her back facing me. I walked a step closer to her causing her to turn around. As she slowly turned towards me, I could see her face dripping with tears.

"Hey, (Y/n)," she sniffed and quickly tried to stop the tears from coming.

I walked towards my sister, "Elena, stop. You don't need to cover up your emotions. You're my little sister and whatever the hell happened I'm the one who you can talk to. I don't care if you did something wrong and it ended badly, I'm here for you. I love you, Elena."

By the time I had uttered my last sentence, we were both sobbing. I wrapped her in a tight embrace and stroked her hair. Elena couldn't even tell me what was wrong if she wanted to. All that came out of her mouth were cry's of one that's been hurt too many times. After 15 minutes of me comforting my sister, she had fallen asleep in my arms. I laid her down on her bed and wrapped her up with a blanket. The last thing I did before I left her room was plant a kiss on her forehead and smile.

"I will do anything to protect you Elena. You and Jeremy," I whispered, and twirling on my heel towards the door.

[3 Hours Later]

I decided to help Jenna cook dinner tonight. We made a family recipe of spaghetti and meatballs and for the first time in awhile the food taste good. Jenna was having the new history teacher at our school, Alaric, over. I knew at least we would make a good impression on him because the food would be delicious. As I finished plating the food, Elena fumbled down the stairs and into the kitchen. Her hair was a mess and she had an imprint of the wrinkles from the blanket on her face. She stumbled over to me and immediately wrapped me in a hug.

"I can talk about it now," she whispered, "but please don't tell anyone."

"I won't," I mumbled into her hair. Elena then grabbed my hand an led me towards her room. When we got inside she turned around and locked the door. I flopped onto her bed ready for the worst.

"(Y/n), you may not believe me or you may think I'm crazy, but I don't care. I need to tell you," she state.

"Go on, Elena. I'll believe you,"

"Stefan is a vampire,"

What the hell. I know I said I would believe her but this is fucking insane. How the hell could Stefan be a vampire. That doesn't even make since. Plus, Damon probably would of told- "Why are you so fast?" - Damon has super speed. Like something super natural would. But this can't be right.

Elena must have seen the stress on my face, "I can prove it, (Y/n), look," she pulled out a picture from the football game a few days ago. "Stefans hand got cut and then it just healed! And Vicki said that the thing that attacked her was a vampire!"

     "His speed..." I mumbled.

     "What?"

     "Damon's speed..."

"How the hell do you know that monster?" she asked in fear.

     "He's my boyfriend."
