As soon as I heard the glass shatter I let out a scream, as did Lauren. I sat up, looking towards the windows. I could hear yelling in the guys room, but before I could comprehend any of what was going on, there was a large figure standing in our room, outlined by the lights from the street. I let out another scream.
"Amy!" Lauren screamed my name, she was sitting on top of her bed, looking around for me.
"This way," I said. "Who are you?" I asked the figure standing there. He (I didn't really know if it was a he, the figure was just so tall and bulky that I assumed it was a he) just stood there, watching us. Right after I asked that (and realized how stupid it was to ask someone who had just broken into our room who they were) the door bust open, Will and Ryan running in and looking around frantically.
I jumped off my bed and grabbed Lauren's hand, pulling her to the door. Will grabbed my other hand and Ryan stood in front of the door, pulling it open once again. I heard a a strange sound, like the cocking of a pistol, then a light twap. I felt something hit my back. I let out a strangled cry as my vision started to go black. My hand was jerked out of Will's and I fell. I saw them start to turn back to get me.
"Run!" I told them before passing out completely.
I woke up slowly, in a blur. As soon as my vision settled I lifted my head. I was in a hotel room, alone. My hands were tied in a tight knot behind the chair I was sitting in, I tried to move them but only ended up chafing my wrists. My ankles were tied too, just as tight. I growled in frustration. I looked around the room again. It was pretty bare, just a bed, desk, and another chair. I was startled when my phone started ringing in my back jeans pocket.
I recognized it as Lauren's ringtone, a goofy, happy song that fit her well. I twisted around until my fingers could reach my front pocket. I pulled the phone out and hit the answer button, then the speaker.
"Amy?" Came Lauren's voice. "Amy, are you there?"
"Lauren?" I whispered, so relieved to hear her voice that I almost started crying. Well, relief plus the pain that was now radiating out from the spot where I was shot by the tranquilizer and also my pounding headache.
"Oh my gosh! Ames are you OK? Where are you?" Lauren's voice was cut off all of a sudden.
"Lauren?" I sobbed. I was in so much pain, relief, and worry that I couldn't help the tears that started streaming down my cheeks.
"Ame? It's me Ryan, are you there?" I hears Ryan's voice ask.
"Ryan? Yeah, I'm here. Are you guys OK?" I asked.
"Yeah, we're totally fine, don't worry about us. What about you?"
"Ummmm.... I'm OK I guess. A little tied up, but not too bad."
"Do you know where you are?" He asked. I looked around the room again to see if there were any hints as to where I was, but the window was closed.
"No, all I know is that I'm in some hotel, tied to a chair." There was some commotion on the other end of the line, then Will's voice came on.
"Hey Amy. I'm glad to hear your OK, I just need you to stay on the line for about another five minutes. I'm trying to track your cell, but it's going to take a while. Do you know who it is that took you? I mean, they're the terrorists, but have you seen their faces?"
"No, I just woke up tied to the chair. I haven't seen anyone, I don't know where they are." I answered, my voice starting to shake again. I was terrified, here I was, tied to a chair, with no way to get out.
"It's OK Amy, we'll be there soon try not to worry," he said. I talked to them for another couple minutes. They said that after I'd been shot, Will had dragged the other two down stairs and outside. They had all hidden, and before they had a chance to try and save me the terrorists were gone, with me shoved into the back of a van.
"OK Amy, there's only 30 more seconds till the GPS has your location." I sighed in relief as Will said this, thank goodness. I am so done with this chair! I was about to respond to Will when there was a sound of a door being unlocked.
"Oh my gosh! Will, they're back! They're opening the door right now. What do I do?" I whisper shouted towards the phone.
"OK, just stay calm, try and hide your phone, keep it turned on if you can so I can hear what's going on."
"OK," I whispered. I heard the door creak open, then two tall bulky men walked in.
