-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Aj opened the door with a pissed off face. Marisa looked plain old bored.
"Get up," he ordered. He walked away, leaving me to struggle by myself.
"What happened?" I asked. He turned towards me.
"What happened was you logged onto Facebook using my laptop. They traced it back here, and now we're suspects. We are so damn lucky that he didn't check the pantry, otherwise we would be dead meat. You are fucking welcome," Aj said harshly.
I didn't say anything. I wasn't sure if I was supposed to be mad or sorry or glad.
"Aj, go find Alec and Eden," Marisa ordered. Aj was about to put up a fit, but one look from Marisa and he was out the door.
After a moment, Marisa finally spoke, surprising me with her words.
"I want you out of my apartment," she said bluntly. No feeling, no bitterness. Just out there.
"Excuse me?" I asked. I wasn't sure what I had done.
"I didn't mind taking care of you while you needed to be watched over with your stitches, and I even let you stay a little longer for the heck of it. Then you wander outside, risking being seen, and pass out. I let you stay and recover.
"But now you've put Aj and I under the police's watch, and it will be even tougher to get you out of here without being caught. I'm sorry, it's really nothing personal. I'm just looking after mine and Aj's asses," she said.
I opened my mouth, gaping a little bit. That's when I started to word vomit.
"I put you under the police's watch? Your boyfriend is a drug dealer. An extremely high up one, too. You guys are already suspected. I didn't force you to do anything for me, that was your option. Don't put this on me," I snapped.
Marisa looked bored. "Wow. You really are a bitch, Jessica. Have fun getting home, we'll be happy to see you go."
She walked away and into her room. I let out a frustrated groan.
I wanted to go home so bad. But it would be really hard if what Marisa said about being watched by the police is true.
Aj walked in with Xander and Eden. All three of them looked a little grumpy. Yeah, biggest understatement ever.
"All three of you kids are such idiots, I'm surprised none of us are is prison," Aj growled.
"We didn't do anything!" Xander defended. "We literally just went into QuickTrip. That's it. No one noticed us."
I knew Xander was smarter than to just walk into a gas station considering their situation, so I figured he just didn't want to be told so by Aj.
"You do know that you two are the suspects for her 'kidnapping', right?" Aj said. Xander's eyes widened a bit.
"Did you know that, Eden?" Xander asked. She looked to the ground without answering.
"Fuck! Why didn't you tell me? If I would have known that, I would have never set foot outside of this apartment," Xander said with a frustrated groan.
"Because I didn't think that it was that important," Eden said.
"You didn't think that mentioning that we are even more wanted than before was important? Jeez Eden, what do you think is important?" Xander asked angrily.
